Probably the best in Birmingham

The problem with Birmingham is that there are so few decent places to stay. So many of the hotels that you think would be nice are run down and ill-maintained. Ross Bridge is very nice though. It is out of the way, though, as it is part of the Robert Trent Jones golf trail. I may be biased, as I live in Muscle Shoals, but the Marriott in Florence, though smaller, has nicer rooms.

Traveler's tip on dining

Don’t miss eating at Highlands Bar and Grill, one of the best restaurants in the Southeast.

Beautiful Hotel and grounds

This is a great place to relax, golf, and get pampered. We really enjoyed our stay. It was close enough to quickly access Birmingham events but out of the hustle of city traffic.
