Nice, modern hotel but poor location
Overall, this hotel was a reasonably good deal, although if we came back we would want to stay closer to the center. The hotel is near the train station (about a 10 minute taxi ride), on a major highway leading into town, but theres really very little else around. You can walk into town, but it takes about 30 minutes along the highway just to reach Porta Nuova, which is then another 20 minutes from Piazza Bra. There is a bus that leaves from in front of the hotel every 15 to 20 minutes and takes you to Castelvecchio (free if you buy a Verona Card), but the hotel shuttle only runs in the summer months, so we ended up mostly taking taxis (about 8 euros to Piazza delle Erbe). The room itself was small, but clean and modern, with refrigerator, safe, flat-screen satellite TV, and an internet plug that works (for a fee, buying a certain number of hours in advance, which must be used consecutively). The bathroom was nice, with a shower that was larger than the standard "telephone booth" stalls. Breakfast was about average, with the usual selection of pastries, cereals, meats and cheeses, and eggs you can boil for yourself. Staff were reastonably helpful and friendly, although they were much nicer when we spoke English to them than when we tried to speak Italian!
