Roaches
Not even kidding. We were joking about it being one of the cheapest hotels around, and now you know why. We had multiple roaches in our bathroom, with a few in the kitchen. The lights flickered and our door seemed to have been beat down a few times. There were also cigarette butts in our (non smoking) air conditioner.

Not impressed
Noisy air conditioning and refrigerator. The grounds were quiet enough but it didn’t matter because of the den of noise inside. The beds were very uncomfortable and no extra pillow were available. Every evening when we returned to the room, the keys would not work and we had to seek someone at the desk or through the emergency housekeeping line to re-program them. Not at all pleased and will not stay again.

For it being a Homestead Hotel this was a great disappointment!
Staff was wonderful, checking me in at 1am in the pouring rain. The room I was in was a smoke free room and I felt like I was in Vegas, it was so bad (the smell penetrated all my belongings)that I had to change rooms asap. I didn’t even receive a discount for downgrading to a smaller room. I have stayed at many Homestead’s and this was a huge let down on!
