Like a Microtel in USA
A little out of the main tourist area, but walkable to Tram and Underground stops and even St. Stephens cathedral. The staff was very helpful, the room clean and quiet; the breakfast very good for the price range of the hotel. We would stay there again.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Don’t buy a Vienna Card; as the tourist office in Salzburg told us, unlike the Salzburg card that gets you into virtually everything for free, the Vienna card only gives you 10% off. Unfortunately, I had bought one before leaving home. Buy a subway pass and forget the Vienna Card.
