Very acceptable but ...

As noted by other reviewers, this hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport and is likely to be used pretty much only by people who are taking a flight the next day. As such, the hotel is fine -- the location is not close to downtown but they provide a great shuttle. There is essentially nothing to do locally about the hotel. The biggest problem we had is that their airport shuttle doesn’t start until 8am and our flight left at 7. The cost of the cab fares was robbery -- $37 for 3 people and luggage for 10 minute. The hotel needs to extend the hours of its shuttle by a couple of hours and then I would fully endorse it.

Clean, modern and the staff were very accomodating. Recommend it if you need to stay near the Florence airport.

A pretty nice hotel

Stayed here one night because of early flight the next morning and wanted to be near the airport. Hotel was nice, although food choices were limited and expensive. Worst surprise was the taxi fare getting to the airport during early morning hours. The hotel is not as near to the airport as I assumed (from the name) and my taxi fare was over 25 Euros.

A long night at this hotel

Beware of seasonal changes and impact on hotel’s ability to manage temperature control. We visited in early October during slightly warmer atypical temperatures (highs were 80F), but the hotel had terminated the AC for the winter season...so couldn’t provide any air flow. windows opened, but near airport. they couldn’t provide any portable fans and were very unapologetic about the situation.

because of the poor quality of the mattress. location to the airport for early departure was excellent. But the lack of quality sleep was unacceptable

Will revisit every time I fly into Florence

One of the best family friendly hotels we stayed at...went back again and am booking other relatives there (near aeroporto)

Clean and neat, and near the airport

I was only a guest in the hotel for 7 hours (from 10pm one evening til 5:30am the following morning), but my stay was pleasant. The front desk staff are pleasant and helpful. The room was extremely clean. All in all, it was just what I was looking for for a quick overnight stay. My one minor complaint is that the website boasted a shuttle to and from the airport, but did not state that it only runs between 8am and 7pm. I specifically picked the hotel to save on taxi fares to and from the airport and train station. I was really disappointed to learn the the shuttle didn’t run at any of the times I needed it. But that was likely my own mistake - I should have followed up before making the reservation. In any case, I was generally pleased with my experience.

Traveler's tip

The hotel will tell you that the public bus number 30 stops at the hotel. In fact, the stop is on the side of a highway and is a good quarter mile from the hotel. With luggage, it’s difficult to manage. Spring for a taxi if the free shuttle isn’t running.

Good alternative to expensive hotels in town

We chose this hotel because we were a family with two adults and two children looking for a reasonably priced room. At most hotels in Florence we would have had to book two rooms or pay a lot of money for a family room. As I remember this hotel had bed for the parents and a pull out sofa for the kids. This worked fine. The only problem was that the beds and pillows were very hard. The buffet breakfast was very good. There was a very reliable shuttle bus that took us in and out of town. We saved a lot of money staying at this hotel.

Traveler's tip on dining

The staff recommended a very nice reasonably priced pizzaria near the hotel. YOu go out front, to the right, and then have to walk down a very busy high way. But my kids loved the pizza.

Nicely surprised

Ths was the only hotel we could easily find near an airport in Italy! You can actually see it from the freeway coming into town. The parking in the garage was very secure. The food in the morning was great. The shuttle took us to a perfect drop-off and pick-up location near all the sights in Florence. I sent a ton of e-mails from here, Not wanting to park a car in the city, this was a perfect location, quiet and comfortable! It was clean and everyone was very helpful!

Just your standard airport hotel......not good!!

Not the best airport hotel I have stayed at. Hard beds, not clean and overall not a pleasant experience.
