Very good location, the subway is 1 min by foot from the hotel. The pool is very nice, they put music on so you can relax!

B-Hotel: Nice people, great pool

THe hotel itself is very sleek and modern in design. The staff is very helpful and speak fluent English should you need to do so. Turning on the lights in your room via the spaceship-like controls takes a bit of practice, but can be amusing. The rooftop pool is a lot of fun and fills up quickly, so get there early for a chair, as there are only about a dozen. The pool bar only opens in the afternoon, so if you want drinks call room service from the pool phone. My only complaint was the one time I called for a pot of coffee to my room, room service directed me to the restaurant for a single cup.

B-Hotel is a pretty good walk from Las Ramblas, about 15 minutes, but the desk will call you a cab and the ride will run about 6 euro.

The Tapa Sampling menu is a must. It costs only 15 Eruo and is very delicious.

Modern lodging at a good price

My wife and I traveled to Barcelona and stayed at the B Hotel for 4 nights. Our room was slightly smaller than expected. If you can’t tell from the pictures this hotel is very modern so expect it to be different. There were several other hotels owned by this same company, all of them seem well managed. The pool on the roof was sweet but crowded at times. Most of the staff spoke English but it was more difficult than expected to communicate with locals.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Take the Metro! Zone 1 of the subway will take you all around the city and if you buy a 2 or 3 day pass you can re-use the same ticket to get around anywhere. If you take the train to a nearby beach (outside of the city) or to the airport, I strongly recommend you take a taxi because the train system becomes much more confusing.

Recommend a lot

Can recommend this place to any who needs a place in Barcelona. The location is very near Metro stations, and friendly staff during day. Only slight negative is the few electrical issues: It took us 5 days before we found out how to adjust the curtains to bathroom by small switch, with bad placement, and one lamp without power etc...but overall very nice place.

Save the price buffet, and minle around at cafees for breakfast, there are many and you get the chance to sit next to couples enjoying their last beer while you dig into a great coffee and a sandwich with Cheese and ham...

A great choice of hotels

The hotel is chic and modern. The room was spacious and light. The bathroom is nicely appointed, with luxurious towels and personal care products. The room had lots of recessed lighting, but the lighting was controlled by a few buttons which were somewhat confusing to operate. The staff was friendly and helpful

Decent enough

Hotel B is a good hotel. Its a bit on the edge of town, near the exposition center. The walk downtown or to the waterfront is a bit of a hike, but it’s near the subway which gets you pretty much everywhere in Barcelona. The hotel is small, the roof deck is great, and the rooms are clean and sparse. The mod rooms lack drawer space and there isn’t much privacy in the bathroom since it has sliding doors. The staff are helpful and nice.

Cool hotel, but Design exceeds Functionality

If you’re interested in staying in a modern hotel, this certainly fits the bill. However, although the modern lighting system, bathroom and shower look really cool, they aren’t that functional. It is a pain to try to keep water in the shower stall with no curtain or door, and the glass doored bathroom is not for the shy. The bed was not all that comfortable either, and the hotel vibrates every time the metro goes by.

Beautiful and very well located at a good price

The hotel is excellent. The hotel as well as the room itself is modern and very well decorated. It is also in front of Plaza de España, where one can get the tourism bus or underground, The staff is friendly and there is an internet station in the lobby if you need to check emails. The only downside is that the underground generates some noise/vibration in the building and it may be negative for those who need plain silence to sleep.

Chic hotel in good location for Montjuic

This is a new ultramodern hotel, so modern it was fun but sometimes hard to figure out how basic things like the lights work! And despite its very busy location, the rooms are quiet. It is a great location for going to the museums and Olympic Park in Montjuic. While it is close to the subway, I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you primarily want to see other areas of the city. The guidebooks offer very few restaurant recommendations for this neighborhood but the hotel was helpful in making suggestions and we had several nice meals at local places. One MAJOR drawback is that the hotel staff was unable on 2 important occasions to get a taxi to come to the hotel on any kind of timely basis. At one point we had to walk to another nearby larger hotel. At another point I was worried I would miss my flight as I waited almost 40 minutes for a cab to the airport to come. It was absurd in a big city with lots of cabs and in a busy location.

Great hotel for the money.

The B-Hotel lives up to its reputation as being affordable, centrally located, well connected with airport, and hip. The room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable to kick back between excursions. The roof deck is beautiful and the infinity pool a great design addition. At the time I was there, the fitness room was not open so check ahead of time if this important. Staff spoke English and were very accomodating. There is a computer in the lobby to quickly check email or get information on something so that was a nice perk since I did not have my computer with me. My only complaint was that the doors to the guest rooms slam shut on their own when you leave. It was loud enough to wake me up and keep me awake since there was a large group on the same schedule. Other than that this is a great hotel for the value!
