A fully modern, first-class hotel

We were welcomed with a hot towel and a room at 9:00 a.m. the morning we arrived in Dublin after an overnight flight from the U.S. The hotel staff was helpful and concerned for our comfort. The hotel is located opposite the Croke Park football (soccer) stadium, in a neighborhood that locals consider a bit rough but didn’t strike us as particularly dangerous. Enterprise Car Rentals is located just two doors away from the hotel. The room was well-appointed: full business desk, wired Ethernet connection with cable included (wireless was also available), CD player/sound system, a flat-panel TV we didn’t watch, and a large bed. Curtains were blackout quality. The bathroom included large shower and separate, large bath tub. Lighting was generous, using halogen fixtures in bath and various energy savers in the main room. One warning: the restaurant did not honor the reservation that was to have included continental breakfast. It seems to be a contract operation, and the staff monitored guests the entire time to ensure they were taking only what they had paid for from the buffet. Yuck. That’s the only blight on what was otherwise a very pleasant stay.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be very sure of what you reserved, and stand your ground with the restaurant. They will insist that breakfast is not included with your room, but it often is at this hotel.

Great Hotel for the Price

Hotel staff were very friendly and nice. They went out of their way to be accommodating. Hotel was very nice and clean! I would definitely stay there again. It was a bit of a walk from the downtown area.

Nice Hotel

Very nice hotel! We were upgraded to a suite with breakfast. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only downfall is that the hotel is not located in city center. We had to walk for a few blocks to catch a hop on hop off bus that took us everywhere we wanted to go. Not the greatest area for walking around at night.

The Croke Park Hotel

My husband and I had never been to Ireland, and the Croke Park Hotel was a great place to start off our trip. We arrived earlier than check-in time, but they had a room ready and waiting for us after our 11 hour trip. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful, the room was so clean, and it was a great stay. My only complaint is something the hotel has no control over - the surrounding area. The river outside unfortunately has become a place for some people to dump their garbage. Again - the hotel has NO control over this, but it is hard to ignore when your room overlooks it. It was a bit far to the Temple Bar area, where a lot of fun happens in Dublin, but one can walk to the area in about 20 minutes. The hotel itself is spectacular, elegant, and celan - and the food in the bar is GREAT - especially after a long day when you just want to hang out for a bit in the quite and comfort of the hotel.

Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Dublin but here! Its really that great!

This hotel goes above and beyond for there guest! They Concierge in particular was a great help. He planned most of our days for us and I wouldnt have changed them for the world. The house keeper was outstanding she never missed a thing and believe me I checked. When I walked into the hotel it was way before my check in time and I knew it was completely booked so there was no way I would be able to check in early but I thought I would ask. After explaining to front desk I was on a 16 hour flight and just wanted to freshen up they gave me towels and showed me to the gym I was sooo ecstatic I got to get ready and shower before heading out so early in the morning. My trip was amazing and I plan to return many time to Dublin and I wont stay anywhere else!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Take the wild wicklow tour and go to the Cliffs of Moher. They are well worth it

Excellent Deal!

This hotel is approximately a ten minute walk to Connell Street, the center of Dublin. It is right across the street from Croke Park (the equivalent to a USA football/baseball stadium). The concierge was extremely helpful, providing me with a map of the city and things to do. The entire week I stayed, the room was always clean and in perfect working order. In comparison to other hotels I’ve stayed in the UK, this one has been the best, especially for the price!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

If you go to Guinness, pour your own stout and then take it to the top floor for a view. Definitely, definitely, definitely take the Literary walking pub tour! Spend a day at Trinity College and St. Patrick’s. They are within a few blocks of each other and will give you a real feel for history. When at Trinity, see the Long room/Book of Keels exhibit! If you go outside of Dublin, take advantage of the tour company’s b/c they get the best deals on rail, bus and know the area best.

Great Place

My boyfriend and I stayed here the week of St. Patrick’s day. We had a great time. The hotel is walking distance to downtown Dublin which is nice since taxis are expensive. Everyone at the hotel was very nice. The walls in the rooms are kind of thin so when people slam there doors or talk loudly in the hall you can here them. When we checked out it took awhile due to a system change. They felt bad since we had to wait and deducted all our mini bar charges and movie charges. Some of the best customer service from a hotel I have ever had.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Get the three day pass for the Hop on Hop off tour for the green buses. It’s only 10 EUR more than a one day pass and it works as a normal buss pass as well.

Good Hotel, modern & good value

Stayed there a few times. Location is not hr best but happens to be close to my office. New & nice Hotel, good bar food. Food quite expenseve but then again so is everything in Ireland !. Would definitely recommend it and estimate that an equivalent level Hotel in the City Centre rund 30-50% higher cost

Great place, great price.

The hotel was really lovely, the service quick and considerate. The rooms were really clean and modern and the beds very comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is to get specifc directions from the airport if you are driving, or just take a taxi. The gengeric bus drop off is farther than you think and it can be kind of a haul to drag your bags, especially if it is raining or dark, as street signs can be sparse. The hotel is new, so many local residents are unfamiliar with it. However once you get there you will be very pleased. Great food options in the main bar, friendly, accomodating staff (so much so that we stayed an extra 2 nights), plenty of electric plugs and flat screen tv. Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay!

Great all around experience

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had e-mailed them that we would probably be early and they had a room ready for us when we arrived. Location within easy walking distance of O’Connell St., and all the activity. The rooms were excellent in all ways, and the breakfast buffet although pricey was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend and would use this hotel again when in Dublin. Thanks

Relax Amid A Friendly Atmosphere

After a long, trans-Atlantic flight, collecting our luggage & going through customs, and getting situated w/ our rental car, imagine our delight to be greeted by a warm, friendly staff at the hotel to welcome us to Ireland’s capital city. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay - a practice I believe is par for the course since I witnessed other guests being treated the same way. The hotel sports quite a few lounges in which to relax, free, wireless internet service and a dining room that, while a little pricey, has a menu w/ many tasty dishes. Only 7 km from the airport, the hotel is a pleasant 15-minute walk from the city center, enabling visitors to Dublin to get a feel for the city’s living environs. We reserved 2 rooms, w/ a request that they be close together, and the staff was able to satisfy that preference. The rooms were comfortable, clean and roomy, complete, even, with a cd player/radio (tv, of course), and complimentary coffee/tea service. The beds were very comfortable! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Since each of the rooms accommodates, truly, just 2 people (in some cases, a 3rd can be included), make sure to ask for adjoining rooms or rooms that are close together. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate you to keep your family together!

Best Beds in Dublin

This place was wonderful. The only thing was that the hotel was about a 15 minute walk to City Center. It is a very easy walk so we never had a problem. There are buses a couple of blocks over which we used on occasion. The beds were heavenly and we almost did not want to wake up to go into the city. Nice TVs and beautiful bathrooms. There is a bistro and bar which are pricey but had a nice selection. If you are doing anything at Croke Park Stadium, this is perfect since it is literally across the street.
