Grand Palace in little Tokyo
This is by far one of the best hotels that I have stayed in while traveling. The hotel room was very spacious, even by American standards. Cleanliness is very important to me and I was impressed by how impeccability clean it was. Usually there is some odor or uncleaned spots in a room but we found it spotless. The location of the hotel couldnt be better. Right in the shadow of the Tokyo tower, the hotel is also close to the subway which is only a block or two away, depending on which line you take. Service at the hotel was the most professional, rivaling that of any 5 star hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to any visitor to Tokyo that is looking for a hidden gem at a great value.

Great choice for a great price!
Located right next to the Tokyo Tower, the hotel is incredibly convenient as it is literally across the street from the Onarimon Metro Station on the Mita Line, and down the street from the Akabanebashi and Daimon Stations on the Oedo Line. The staff here speaks english relatively well and is very helpful with directions and suggestions on where to go. Rooms are nice and big, which is definitely a nice change from the usual smaller hotel rooms in Tokyo. I would definitely recommend staying at the hotel.

Great services by friendly staff
There are always hotel staff members waiting to help you in the lobby. After I returned the room key at the front desk to go out, I noticed that it started to rain. When I turned on my heels to the front desk for the key to get an umbrella in my room, a hotel clerk approached me and asked what happened. After I explained, she said "you can use our umbrella if you would like". That was a pleasant experience.

room was big, but a little far from the subway
We booked a double bed, and to my surprise we got like a king size bed. Not sure if we got upgraded, but the room was a decent size for Japan. I expected no walking room and just enough room for the bed and our suitcase. The hotel was old, but well maintained. They definitely need a facelift or new furniture. other than that, the room was well taken care of and offer these 1,000 yen credits if you decide not to clean your room. We used these coupons to stock up on pastries and drinks for our day out. the hotel in itself is about a 10 min walk from the JR station. This gave us lots of exercise, but felt it was an inconvenience. If you are looking to get in the hustle and bustle of tokyo/shibuya take a look elsewhere since this place is about 15 minutes out + the 10 min walk to the hotel. It is right next to the tokyo tower (if thats your fancy)

Solid value for the money
Hotel rooms are modern and, by Tokyo standards, spacious. You can forego room service for 2 days and take a 1000 yen voucher per day instead. This should pay for most/all daily incidentals in the basement level convenience store. The airport limo to/from Narita stops at the front door. Closest subway is Onarimon station, but the blue line is inconvenient for transfers. The Yamonote line station is about 12-15 minutes walk away; the hotel also has a shuttle to this station. Two drawbacks: virtually no command of English at the front desk at any time of the day, and an internet service charge of 1050 yen a day.
Traveler's tip
The hotel has a rear entrance, which lets you out virtually across the road from Tokyo Tower. There is a subway station about 10 minutes by foot to your left as you leave this entrance. Two stops to Roppongi, direct to Shinjuku.

tokyo Prince hotel
The room was spacious and my room had a splendid view of Tokyo Tower which is illuminated until about 10 pm.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
A 5 minute uphill walk to Tokyo Tower and its worth your while to go to the observation deck and see the expansive city of Tokyo. Next door is the Zojoji Temple and check it out at different times of the day. I was lucky to experience the "okyo" the chantings by the monks. This temple provides serenity in the midst of the bustling city.

Meet the Prince
Great location, unexpensive for Japan standards, very friendly an helpful staff, especially when you are lost in translation. Restaurant is excellent. My only complaint is lack of WiFi. Subway lines are very close. Good restaurants within walking distance. Great for families as well.

Best View!
My daughter and I went to Tokyo to look at colleges and stayed at the Tokyo Prince. It was clean, nice and everyone treated us very well. The view from our window was of the Tokyo Tower and it was awesome at night! The hotel was centrally located to most of the things we had to do. I would certainly recommend it and stay there again.

Absolutely loved this hotel
I picked this hotel off Expedia and was leery of the quality because the price was so low for a Tokyo hotel. I believe it was rated 3 stars so I set my expectations low. We ended up absolutely loving the hotel. The location was killer, right near the Yamanote JR green line (about 10 minute walk, although you could use the free hotel shuttle) and right by a subway line (about 2-3 minutes walk). There were great affordable restaurants right down the block; had a good running track around the hotel, about a 1 mile loop; extremely polite staff; super clean rooms, with a cool deal that if you waived house cleaning you got a $10 voucher to buy stuff in the hotel; great bathrooms, etc. Seriously, I never rave this much about a hotel but I travel overseas 2-3 times a year and about 10 times domestically and this place was fantastic for the value. Id stay here again in a heart beat.
Traveler's tip on dining
If youre looking for food, exit hotels main entrance & walk straight towards the main road . Go left & walk on sidewalk to the main signal in front of temple gates, cross the street towards the Yamanote JR station & theres a AM/PM on the right, about 100 yrds down is a Starbucks on the right, & across the road, past the signal, on the right is a YUMMY ramen/pot sticker place. There is a little vending machine at the front where you pick what you want then prepay.

Quiet location, but close enough to big attractions
My wife and I spent 3 days in Tokyo and we both enjoyed our stay at the Prince Hotel. We usually spend less money on a hotel and more on sightseeing, shopping and dining. So if youre looking for a clean hotel with nice staff for a good price, I would recommend the Prince Hotel

very impress view
This hotel has the best view I ever has, without requesting the hotel window already facing the tokyo tower, close to subway station, the door key is not what I expected from a hotel(doesnt use digital locks) but overall is a great hotel, if I need to go back to the area, I will choose this hotel again.

Great hotel for a good price
Great location near the Onarimon subway station. Very convenient to get around Tokyo. Hotel room size is decent compared to other Tokyo hotels. You will have to pay $15 USD for 24 hours of internet service in your room. Not bad considering the room rates are very affordable for Tokyo standards. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Great stay, but wireless not reliable
Had a great stay at the Tokyo Prince Hotel (March 2009). One suggestion for the hotel: make it easier to connect to the wireless service. To connect, you must buy a 5 yen card (good for a day) at the hotel convenience store, and the wireless is only available in the lobby --but there are no chairs or desk set up for people using their computers to connect to the wireless network (and the signal is not strong enough to reliably reach the lobby benches; also, we were not allowed to use the business center with our own computers --and the business center also cost money to use). Each time we connected the staff fetched us some chairs (they didnt like us sitting with our computers in the general area -?). Was inconvenient for the staff, and the lobby is large enough that it would be easy to set up a table dedicated to wireless service.

Good value for the money
Tokyo Prince hotel is starting to show its age but it still provides good value for the money. The staff is attentive and courteous and the hotel is situated in a quiet area next to a large shrine. There are also lots of small Japan-style resturants and bars within walking distance. Although the hotel is a bit inconveniently situated, a subway station with two lines is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and the Yamanote-line (which circles inner Tokyo) 10 minutes away.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Find the subway and train stations. Explore the area around the subway station where "Old Tokyo" is still alive.

Nice Downtown Hotel for the Price
Booking through Expedia is aways a good idea. The hotel has nice rooms, an expensive main restaurant, a great little pearl shop and a reasonable eatery and bar down in the basement along with an electronics store and a paper store. Tokyo Tower is right behind it. In front of it is a expensive but great Korean BarBQue restaurant.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Dont forget to take a Taxi to Mejii Shrine on Saturday or Sunday and see the weddings and punk rockers!

nice place
This hotel is in the perfect spot to go sightseeing. There are a whole bunch of subway stations right nearby...in walking distance. The hotel itself is nice and the staff is awcesome...they are very helpful... there is at least one english speaking person...i had no problem communicating. The hotel could be renovated a little...but overall its a great place to stay.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure to visit Odaiba at night for an outstanding view of the city....its breath taking.

Exceeded our expectation
The room was good size for Tokyo hotels and it was very convenient to all the major attractions. The staff at the hotel was fantastic and really service orientated. We enjoyed the daily Japanese breakfast at the hotel.
