This hotel initially looked very nice. Then we got to our room and were impressed until we started looking around. The towel hook was falling off the wall. It looked like the bathtub was not cleaned at all and their was garabage under the coach in the living room. It looked like the housekeeping came in made the beds and did a quick vacuum. I do not think they cleaned very good. The pool area looked very nice. The big pool was very well kept. If you have kids though, the kiddy pool that they offer inside is very dirty on the bottom. It looks like it wasn’t cleaned for awhile.

This wasn’t really a hotel, more of a condo. We liked the privacy and the feel of having our own home away from home. The front desk and activities area could have been a little closer though.

What a nice surprise!

I booked through Expedia and was expecting a normal hotel room, but was pleasantly surprised to find we had accommodations that I would characterize as a condo. The kitchen was fully stocked and featured a full-size refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The small dishwasher was adequate for our needs. Loved the small pond. The kids caught tons of little fish and really enjoyed the paddleboats. Note: No housekeeping was provided during our stay and we had to take our our own trash and trade in our own wet towels, but that was okay!

Best vacation we’ve ever had!

Tamarack Resorts was wonderful! We had a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom. It was so nice to have alot of room to move around in and fix our own meals, saving us money. Out our deck we could see a water fall and pond that has paddle boats you could use. It was so peacefull to sit outside. They had indoor/outdoor tennis courts and swimming pools, playground equipment, a laundry facility and lots of area to walk and enjoy the view. The only thing negative is that they needed a separate basketball court. The one they have is shared with a tennis court that was always busy. I would highly recommend Tamarck Resorts to anyone.

Wisconsin Dells is a great place for the family. I would highly recommend getting the family pass that is offered in town. $99.00 gets you 14 atractions and saves you alot of money.

Can’t wait to return

The people who checked us in were extremely nice and helpful. We were able to buy discounted coupons for the uppper Dells boat ride and it was so well worth it. Beautiful ride. Everyone should take it. The condo was very nice and clean. The resort was very nice also. We would definitely stay there again. My kids loved Noah’s Ark water park. We stayed for 9 hours and they could have stayed longer if we would have let them. The second week of August was a great time to visit the Dells, beautiful weather and no rain.

Can’t get any better than this

I booked this hotel thinking it would be a small "extended" hotel room. Completely wrong!! This was a beautiful condo!! A complete home away from home! It was so clean and had a fully stocked kitchen so we saved a ton on eating out. Beautiful commons area with 2 pools, basketball courts, etc. My kids had a blast there at night!! Safe, quiet!! Would go back in a second! Can’t believe what you get for the price!!

Noah’s Ark was awesome!! The kids loved it! A little spread out and lots of hills to walk but the rides were the best we have ever seen. The admission was cheap for what you got. In fact, they had a deal to get the 2nd day free so we went for 2 days!! The upper Dells boat tour was beyond beautiful! Totally worth it!! You even get out of the boat twice and walk around!!

Out of the hussle and bussle

This is a great Condo property, just minutes from the downtown Dells. We loved the heated pool and stayed in there for hours. Perfect for families.

Plan on going back again.Nice quit place to stay. will be taking family members next time.

unexpectedly surprised

Very nice! Everything was great and all the extras were nice. It was not a problem driving the kids to the activity center knowing that they would have fun. I know this was a complaint of some. I was not bothered by it. We had a 2 bedroom suite ordered online from expedia. We ended up in a two bedroom condo. I don’t know if this was a upgrade or if that is all there is in this place. Either way it was nice and if my children did not have school we would have stayed alot longer. All the staff were very pleasant and nice.

we went to Mt. Olympus waterpark and that was okay. It was smaller than we remember, but the children had fun. We also went to Moosejaw resturant and that was nice. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. We also went to Knuckleheads and that was more fun for adults and the children. We bowled and drove go carts, etc. We also ate at the Country Kitchen for breakfast a must go when we go to the Dells. It is well priced and decent food.

Had a wonderful time.

Had a wonderful time at the hotel/resort. It was very clean. Employees were very helpful and kind. Nice swimming pool and hot tub. It was very relaxing.

Nice, but probably won’t go back

The facility is very nice. However, all of the buildings are spread out. If you want to use anything in the common building (pool, hot tub, exercise room), you either have a hike or a drive. Since it was cold and rainy, we had to drive over.

I liked it!

would definitely go back. It is off the main Drag which was fine with me, but close enough to everything we wanted to do. Had 2 bedroom condo with 4 adults and 1 child. Plenty of room - 2 floors and 2 bathrooms. Very reasonable rates for the unit and for the area in high season.

Not really a hotel

This isn’t really a hotel but a sprawling development of townhouses - I wish I would have known this before booking. It would be a nice place to stay with young kids (there’s a patio with a table and chairs and lots of outdoor space to run) but it wasn’t what I was looking for.

Good Value

The service at the hotel was so, so. It is not a Fairfield Inn as was advertised on the Expedia website. The room was very spacious, but the air conditioner was so loud it sounded like we were in an airplane. The front desks response to my comment was "oh".

It was a great buy for the money. I enjoyed the quiet

Very well laid out. Nice and quiet. Good value for the money. The only draw back were the pools, they were too small.

Clean & Quiet

We stayed two nights in a 2 bedroom townhouse style condo. Nice kitchen and living room with both BR’s on 2nd floor. Clean & comfy, in a quiet area just minutes from the "strip". Will likely stay again next visit.

Wonderful place

This place was great and I would totally stay there again. The grounds are beautiful and they have so much to do right there at the resort. Our townhouse was very spacious. The only minor thing is that the upstairs second bedroom can get stuffy since the a/c window unit is in the master bedroom. I think they could use one more a/c in the second bedroom. If you leave the door open, the ceiling fans help to move the air around.

If you are the type of person that likes to walk to places around your resort, there really isn’t to walk to. You must drive to the restuarants and attractions. We didn’t mind the drive, everything is close when you are driving.

Recommended to a friend, our family may return next year!

This is an exceptional hotel for the money. Very family friendly. Nice pool area!

Nice Place

A bit pricey, but you have to splurge on occasion. The rooms and surroundings are beautiful. The carpet up the stairs to the third floor looked permanetly stained with a trail of something gray. The furniture and carpet were dusty. Not dirty, but as though it had not been occupied for awhile. The bathrooms were immaculate. We found a mixing bowl put away dirty. But, nobody is perfect. This place is not for the out of shape, unless you like to drive. Our location was far away from the lobby and recreation areas. Also, there is no housekeeping you have to utilize their linen exchange, and do your own cleaning. At least that’s what the front desk clerk told us.

Rent your own townhouse for suite pricing!

This hotel suprised me- It’s like renting your own townhouse. It’s in its own private building and everything. You can rent bicycles to ride around for the whole family.

Away from it all

This was a great place to stay for six of us on a shoppping trip as we were all able to stay in one place. It is more like a condo than a hotel. If you wanted to use the indoor pool and rec center it would be a little hike. Very clean and up to date. A large deposit to secure you didn’t have any damages was needed at the time of check-in and a maid had to check your room before you could get the deposit back. That I didn’t like.

The new outlet mall in the dells is nice and we had lunch at a great new restaurant called Buffalo Phils right by the mall.

Eager to be of good service

If anything, the staff at this resort struck us as a little too eager. It’s a great place for a family to stay, with plenty to keep the kids busy and a large pool. We were there for a quiet weekend away and enjoyed the fireplace and jacuzzi that weren’t mentioned in our room description, but found the calls from staff to check on our satisfaction a bit intrusive.
