Not convenient transportation
The hotel says it has complimentary transportation to the Disney theme parks, which it does. But they only run to and from the parks about 4 times each day and only upon request at two specific times to Downtown Disney. The last shuttle from the main transportation area leaves incredibly late... over an hour and a half after the parks close. It was really frustrating having to plan our entire day around the convenience of the hotel transportation. We decided to spend some time at Universal, so we used the hotel’s limo service which was pretty expensive. We ended up spending as much for rides to and from Universal as we did on the actual admission tickets. In the future I’d rather just stay at a Disney Hotel.
It would have been better to rent a car for the entire week on this particular trip to this hotel.

What a nice Hotel!
My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Safari for a total of 8 nights. When we checked in the front desk representative was pleasant and helpful. When we got to the room it was very clean and we had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool which we enjoyed alot! The hotel staff was always polite and professional, the gift shop clerk was nice and we ate in the hotel restaurant and ordered room service one evening and both were enjoyable experiences. The food was delicious and everything fresh and well prepared. I’m pretty picky about cleanliness and this hotel met my standards. I highly recommend the sheraton Safari and I would love to stay there again.
There are so many restaurants near the hotel and many are in walking distance. We had a rental car and drove down the street about 1/2 mile and found a Winn Dixie. We purchased sodas & water for the room refrig and found alot of Disney merch at a much lesser price than the parks. Also they have ready made sandwiches that are quite good and reasonably priced and the freshest most tasty salad bar inside the store, that was great to get those healthy foods in during vacation.

Good place
I read a lot of bad reviews on this place, and I didnt see where they came from. Its not 4 stars, but it doesnt pretend to be either. The price was very good, my room was quiet and clean, when I had an issue the staff atteneded to it promptly and the location was convenient to all the places we wanted to go. Yeah the decor is a little dated (but you could see where they’re starting the remodel) and hokey.....but it was fine by us. We’d stay there again
