Compact but comfortable

This room was smaller than most, but was almost new and very very clean. The bed was comfortable, there was ample storage space, and decoration was very decent. The bathroom was compact too, but it had most things you need. They did not have all the bathroom essentials like most chains, but it is more of a hostel than a hotel. The TV was small - but about the right size for the room. There was no telephone, mind you, as most people have cell phones these days (that was the reason given to me). But they have very good internet service, so I used Skype without trouble. The ’problem’ was that the elevator was above 5/6 steps from the reception, so you have to haul your suitcase atleast half a floor before you can use the elevator. The breakfast was ample, fresh, and tasty. The overall environment was very hostel like, but for the price it is certainly a good value. I recommend it for single travellers or people traveling without family.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

The Hauptbahnhof is a 5 minutes walk, Marienplatz about 10-12 minutes. And the street in front is served by trams as well. So transportation is not a problem to go anywhere in Munich. I would recommend going for a stroll towards Marienplatz and around. This is a very convenient no-frills hotel. Nothing fancy or extra - but just enough.

Convenient to train station

The hotel was clean and within walking distance to the train station; which was what we were looking for. Breakfast was adequate. The people were helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

I went to Munich last month and stayed at A&O, I really recommend this place, staff is helpful, place clean, rooms are simple, but OK!
