Great Lobby, but Past its Prime
The Manchester Grand Hyatt is in a great location, with ostentatious lobby, but the guestrooms belie the hotel’s age. The rooms have frayed furniture, a bulky 1990s era TV (not flat screen), and outdated bathroom fixtures. You’ll need to request daily turndown service and we needed to remind housekeeping of that multiple times. Otherwise the staff is friendly. The best part of the hotel is the location along the Bay and proximity to the gas lamp district. The next time I am in San Diego, I would likely book a hotel in the gas lamp district instead.
The seafood restaurants in proximity to the hotel are great, I especially enjoyed the view from the restaurants located on the bayfront.

Great San Diego Hotel
The hotel was in a very convenient location - right next to seaport village and a comfortable walk to the gaslamp district and downtown. The hotel has fantastic views of the harbour and the room service menu is delicious. The room was really clean, the service was great & the surrounding area felt extremely safe.
The old town trolley is an extremely convenient way to see the main tourist attractions of san diego and is especially good if you are short on time as you have to option to drive through or hop on/hop off.

Great Hotel in San Diego
This is a great hotel to stay. It has great views of the downtown area and the bay. It is very relaxing to be so close to the water and enjoy the nearby scenary. The staff was great. I had a issue with a strange odor in the bathroom of the room. I mentioned the problem to the front desk just and they had maintenance come up that night to resolve the problem. Very impressed with the customer service. Would stay again when I vist San Diego.
