A Pearl on Bonaire’s Shore
Open air apartments provide gorgeous view of ocean and sunsets. AC in bedrooms allowed a cool respite from Carribean heat. Less than 25 units created a quiet, private feel. Staff were warm, friendly, accommodating, responsive, and helpful. Night shift security guard and locked gates made us feel safe. Scuba diving instruction was terrific. Beautiful snorkeling off the dock and fascinating coral reef. Caution: not all appliances worked (ice maker); Pool needed tilework done which could not be repaired till the pool could be drained in off season.
Traveler's tip on dining
Highly recommend Les Flamboyants (a beautiful red flowering tree on Bonaire) a very creative French restaurant and shop. They have spots for the kids to play during the (brief) wait for very delicious and beautifully presented meals. Dine in beautifully decorated, outdoor, walled garden.
