Clean, quiet and convenient
The Bedford Hotel is not for the luxury traveler. But I consider it a find and a great deal. It’s two blocks to Grand Central Station. The room was comfortable and clean and had a small kitchen with a stove and a refrigerator. There are good restaurants nearby, including a fantastic Indian one just around the block. I have already booked another stay and plan to go back many times. The staff was lovely.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Use the hotel kitchen for breakfast and buy supplies at the grocery on the corner.

Great location, no cable TV
Hotel is in excellent location. Hot water is not readily available; TV does not have cable stations; air conditioner is just adequate. If these problems could be remedied, it would be a great hotel.
