Mediocre at best
Really not impressed with this hotel. First, they tried to stick us in a room by the pool with no exterior windows. To their credit, they moved us when I asked, and the new room was much larger. Both rooms appeared clean, but the furniture was shabby and the wallpaper was worn and ripped in places. The bathroom in the new room was cramped. The staff was generally unpleasant and poorly trained. The front desk knocked on the door to give us towels at 11pm, even though we didn’t request any, and housekeeping woke us up at 8am by banging on our door to clean our room. What happened to waiting until people check out? Two stars might be a bit optimistic for this hotel. There’s a pool and jacuzzi, and I found a used band-aid in the jacuzzi. Oh, and the hotel restaurant is a Denny’s, and the restaurant looks in on the pool. Creepy. I guess if you’re looking for a not-so-reasonably priced place to stay in Revelstoke, and don’t mind being woken up by hotel staff, this place would be OK. Seriously, though, this hotel is at least clean, and probably would be fine if there are no other decent options. Just don’t expect much.
There seemed to be a lot of families here, so maybe it’s a good place for kids. I guess you don’t have to worry about letting your kids run up and down the hallways at all hours of the night and morning, since the hotel staff will already have woken up the guests.
