Great hotel, inexperienced staff
The hotel is in an excellent location, very easy walking distance to River Street, the City Market and shops/restaurants along Bay St. Parking is an additional expense, as valet is required. The staff seems inexperienced, and the front desk check in required a lot of effort. The lady working the front desk had to keep asking for help, and even though we registered for a non-smoking room, and reiterated twice that we wanted a non-smoking room, we ended up in a smoking room (complete with strong cigarette smell, and multiple ash-trays).

Hotel was comfortable, but a little cramped for a Hilton
Hotel was in the tourist area and accessible to touristy things, but the room was small and not comfortable to me. Having travelled alot over the years and spent many a night in Hilton hotels, I guess I was expecting more.

I was only there 2 days. It served the purpose.

Loved this hotel and Savannah!
We had a wonderful time in Savannah. The Hilton Garden was so close to everything that we wanted to walk to. The concierge was very helpful- she called the tour company to pick us up and also gave us great tips on where to eat. We had a corner room with lots of space and two huge windows. We would definitely go back there.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Take a tour (one that lets you get on and off)- go the whole route the first time and then you will know where you want to spend more time. The tour guide was very informative, funny and knew the history.
