Great location
The hotel is right down from Union Square. Staff was friendly and everything was great.

Bargain hotel
This good, affordable hotel is in a great location adjacent to Knob Hill and Chinatown. The room was clean and basic. It has an antique lift and is best for young families and back-packers.

Good Budget Hotel
Good budget hotel near Chinatown & the Union Square shopping district. Very inexpensive rates, which helps compensate for SF’s outrageeously high (in my opinion) occupancy tax. For the rate I paid, you usually do not have a private toilet & shower, but I received an upgrade from the manager, since my room wasn’t ready when I arrived - which they didn’t have to do since I arrived an hour before the stated check-in time of 2 P. M. Incudes free Wi-Fi in the rooms, a limited cable TV selection and a small refrigerator. The somewhat small & cramped lobby does include a microwave & a house computer for those without their own. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and has all the basic requirements for my needs.
