First-world luxury
I was very impressed with the level of service and comfort at this modern business-oriented hotel. If youre looking for a taste of Russia, this isnt your hotel; theres nothing particularly Russian about it. But if you want first-world luxury in the midst of a fascinating but sometimes difficult city, this is a wonderful choice. Very comfortable rooms with terrific views. A five-minute walk from the express train to DNE airport. Close to a major metro line -- the Moscow metro is a dream -- for Red Square, etc. Fully equipped gym and spa. My only complaint with the hotel: the food and beverage prices, which are astronomical. A $10 cup of coffee. Beware the minibar -- $50 for a tiny bottle of wine, $30 for a gin and tonic.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Depend on the metro for round-the-city trips. Incredibly efficient and a tourist adventure all their own. Beautiful stations. If you dont understand Russian alphabet, get a good map and then memorize the number of stops between stations.
