A lil better than I expected.....
Town was booked due to home football game, so took our chances here. Hotel is a lil dated, but not too bad. The "canterbury" theme throughout was kind of funny, with gargoyals welcoming us thru the wrought iron gates...but the room itself was pretty nice..Our room was newly painted and the bedding and furniture was nice enough.Only complaint is that on second day, beds were made, but dirty coffee cups and other trash was not removed, and coffee supply was not replenished. would really not like a first floor room, as the pool can get pretty noisy and privacy would most likely be an issue. second floor with heat/ac on keeps the noise out. Bar/restaurant was convenient and the staff in there was nice. Breakfast was okay- lots of muffins, some cold cereal, and make your own waffles (which stick to the waffle iron!)

Disaster
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The smoke smell in the room was overpowering and the whole family was coughing by morning. There were stained glass windows that could not be covered and the parking lot lights shinned through all night. I think the last time it was refurbished was in the 70’s based on the phone and clock. One of those college town hotels that feed off of the weekend football crowd. We had a minimum 2 night stay but still left after one night to go somewhere else.

Old Hotel
Old hotel that probably needs to be replaced. We had an old musty room that was clean but that was all. It has been repainted but old is old.
