Location, location, location...

Did I mention location? Also, a beautiful property. Concierge service was impeccable. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. For those who commented that the common areas were a bit tattered, go stay at Holiday Inn, anywhere USA---this building is an old architectural European gem and seemed in fine order to us. Will absolutely stay there again on our next visit to Warsaw.

Interiors of the Royal palace are a must see. Old Jewish cemetery is not to be missed. Also, don’t miss the main park in the city with its many palaces. For dining, the restaurant "Gessler Kucharzy" 1/2 block from the Hotel was sublime.

Excellent staff, comfortable beds

Clean, quiet, and comfortable rooms with exceptionally good beds and pillows. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Rooms facing street can be noisy at nite; and smoking is permitted in outdoor seating of restaurant.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Everything is walking distance from the hotel, and Warsaw is a surprisingly (to me) beautiful city.

Warsaw’s Best Hotel

Great place to stay - right next to the main historic sights of Old Warsaw. Outstanding room, friendly & courteous staff, in a beautiful old restored building. Our only complaint - breakfast there is very expensive, but there are small local restaurants nearby for all meals.

Excellent hotel, mediocre restaurant

The hotel is very nice, and we can warmly recommend it. We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and that was very mediocre and expensive.

Great location, hotel and staff

I stayed at the Bristol for leisure. The hotel is in a great location and is centrally located within walking distance of most of the primary sights that a tourist would want to visit in Warsaw. The street where the Bristol is located is also served by multiple bus routes.

spectacular! would stay again in a heart beat! perfect location! awesome staff

We stayed at the Bristol for 3 weeks. The staff was exceptional. The location is the best. Loved the elevators and the plaques on the wall of famous people who have stayed there.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Very close to Old Town, on the Royal Route, within walking to the tomb of the unknown soldier...all a must

Warsaw in its best!

The hotel located in the center of everything historic you want to visit in warsaw. You will feel a touch of luxury while you’re being spoiled by the staff of Le Meridien. The only disappointment I had was the pool size. It looks really huge in pictures, but not in real life!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Don’t try to be cheap and park in the street! You know it costs a lot of money to park in the street, but guess what? Valet parking is free and included with the stay!

Construction

Very nice hotel but the windows were covered with opaque plastic so the view to the courtyard was ruined. Excellent service.

Three star hotel pretending to be five

The hotel location is exceptional - next door to the presidential palace - but this is all good I have to say about it. The hotel has a great history (similar to the Ritz in Paris) but overall quality is poor. I’d recommend you stay in newer hotels, like Hilton, which is not very close but is exceptional.

Beautiful Hotel in the Best Location

I had to take a last minute trip to Warsaw and had little time to research where to stay. I couldn’t have been happier to have picked The Bristol. It is located in the most beautiful part of the city and I could walk to all the sites that I had wanted to visit on my short stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. It was built in 1899 and one of the few original buildings in Warsaw. I had a rough week and when I checked in I asked for a nice room, the graciously gave me a room over looking the presidential palace.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Go to the museum of the uprising. It just opened 2 years ago and gives insight to how the people of Poland and Warsaw fought in WWII and the aftermath. The history of the war is rarely seen from their perspective (at least in the US.)

Absolutely Amazing

Stayed first week of November 2007 and loved it. Heavy street construction for 8+ more months as city prepares for 2012 European Soccer Championships. High-quality service in lobby/front desk area & Cafe. Service in Columns Bar was of lesser quality. This region suffers from lack of follow-up of initial customer service though. Pool is excellent, but exercise area is 2 cycles & wall-mounted TV. Hotel shares a common wall with the Presidential Residence; don’t be surprised that there are a half-dozen visible soldiers stationed w/i 100m. Across the street from the Bristol Cafe exit is a wonderful café (Bitada) serving a limited, but delicious menu. I was unable to find a decent American-style breakfast nearby though. Remember that Europeans are not early-risers so you have to search diligently for coffee before 9AM. Old Town area is less than a 10 minute stroll past the Presidential Residence and the University (plus some beautiful churches) is about 150 m to the left of the main door. Straight east from the Bristol Café exit, past other café, you will be at Unknown Soldier monument. Amazing history all around you.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Eat in Old Town. The hotel has great food but I found equal quality at a third the price with twice the atmosphere within a block or so of the square.

Hotel Le Royal Meridien Bristol in Warsaw

Excellent hotel and a very favorable location for Warsaw highlights. Did not use the main resturant (very expensive) but the Cafe was good. Many good resturants at walking distance in the area. Staff was very accommadating since the airlines lost our luggage for 2+ days. No problem with language.

Mixed impressions

The hotel is historical and very grand. However, when it comes to the pool and fitness/spa facilities, the hotel falls short in its class. The pool is small and there is not a lot to choose from in terms of massages. In addition, for families with kids this hotel is a problem as they do not allow kids in the pool after 5 pm (this is way too early; 8 pm would be more reasonable as one does not get back to hotels that early when visiting other countries). The room was nice but not outstanding, again when compared with a top hotel. The food is good and the staff is cordial and helpful.

Traveler's tip on dining

Dining is great at the old town and is very close to this hotel so no need to eat very good but very expensive food in the Bristol. Right across the street from the Bristol there is a very nice bakery. We discovered too late.

Warsaw Charmer with Some Cost

The hotel was as beautiful as can be, even with outside renovations. The level of service and quality was unparallel to many hotels that we stayed. The service was excellent and the setting was classical with some contemporary accents. The price offered on Expedia makes this hotel a solid investment. Although less likely to affect your stay, there were a few negative sides of this hotel. The restaurants on site were pretty pricey as compared to other nice restaturants around Warsaw. Also, the internet was not included in the price and was pretty expensive. I believe that hotels should offer internet as a free convenience. Overall, the hotel held up to its reputation and offered the charm that we would expect of a five star accomodation. If you are going to visit Poland, you should definitely try to make reservations here.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Old town, the university, and The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is only a few block away in either direction. We walked to most sites from the hotel.

The service was excellent and the setting was classical with some contemporary accents. The price offered on Expedia makes this hotel a solid investment. The price for the bars and restaurants on site and the internet price was significant, 10 Euros for one-half an hour or 20 Euros for one whole day. most luxurious hotel in Warsaw

Gem hotel. True luxury perfectly located in the best part of Warsaw 5 minutes from the old city. Rooms were spacious and down bedding was exceptional. Service professional and courteous. Visually beautiful lobby and outside dining garden. A class act!

Why stay anywhere else?

The hotel lives up to its reputation as Warsaw’s best. The staff was very helpful. The room was immaculate. The location is perfect. The Old Town is a short, pleasant walk from the front doors. The concierge will arrange for transportation to any location in the city.
