Less than professional staff and manager

My late night arrival 9:30 pm was uneventful but very un-informative. (i.e.) no mention the breakfast I paid for would end at 9am!! /even though check out is noon. When I went to breakfast and was told it ended 15 minutes earlier the staff chuckled snickered, and tittered about my asking attempting such a dumb maneuver as to show up so late. ( 15 minutes to be exact). Angered, since I chose this property because it offered the convienence of an "included" breakfast and was embarrassed by the staff, I demanded to speak to the manager. I was told he would call me in my room or come see me. I left for a noon meeting, checked out but was not contacted by anyone! My opinion , the room was clean, not elaborate. The staff unprofessional, The manager incompetent.

Pleasant Surprise

The worst thing about my hotel was noise from the freeway... So in other words, not much was wrong with my hotel stay. The room was spotless, the bed was more comfortable then the Hilton in downtown Knoxville two days later. The pool was clean and close to our room. It was even next to a movie theatre where my wife and I went after dinner. Very good experience! We spent about 1/3 of the amount we spent to stay in the Hilton in Durham, NC a week later but this room was nicer.

Not Impressed

Having stood in La Quinta Inns in various locations throughout the U.S. I would have to say that this one falls extremely short of the quality and image I had grown use to.
