Saved a few bucks to spend at the Space Center
We spent two nights in August and had no major complaints. This is a decent place to stay if you are on a budget. The pool area is lovely, and they gave us a free hot breakfast rather than the usual continental. I was concerned about the bed after the negative comments from other reviewers, but the mattress was comfy and I got good nights’ sleep. A/C worked great (and you will need it!). The room was clean. The worst thing you can say about the place is it’s old and in need of renovation. If you’re trying to get to the Kennedy Space Center on a budget, as we were, who cares? We had extra cash to play with at the Center!
Traveler's tip on dining
The town of Cocoa looks like it has seen better days. For dozens of dining options including all your favorite chains, head to nearby Merritt Island (about 5.5 miles away).

Cheap, no frills, very friendly
The room was clean and the hotel was maintained. The bed were very basic and not all that comfortable. The people were all very friendly. The breakfast was a nice surprise. All in all not a bad budget hotel that we were able to get last minute.
