I would stay there again if I return to the area.

The hotel is very close to LAX, the free shuttle service runs every 15 minutes which is great, the room was good, the fitness center was terrific, no noise from the planes, I had a 6pm check out which I paid an extra $50.00 for.When I went to lunch and came back to my room -they locked me out and security had to escort me to my room and security asked what was in my room, I felt very VIOLATED!!!! and all they can say is "We didn’t know how this happen"

Very good hotel for this price

The hotel is very nice, I would recommend it to my friends as a very nice hotel for a not very expensive price.

the location is convenient to meetings in LA

The only bad comment is that I rented a car from the Hotel and then they charged $24 per day to park in their lot.

If you stay at LAX, there is a trolley that goes every 30 minutes to the best entertainment areas of LA.....including the beach.

It was a very nice hotel with very comfy beds and it was really clean

Loved it!

My boyfriend and I stood at this hotel a few days ago and I absolutely loved it! It was extremely convienent to LAX, car rentals and most importantly the beautiful L.A sites. I found the hotel to be in excellent condition and the rooms to be great and clean for that matter. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves to be close to L.A without the crazy prices of staying in B.H or one of the poshier hotels. Good Job Sherton at LAX!

If you’re visiting Califronia for the first time, definitely plan in advanced! California is absolutely beautiful with a ton to see so if you’re only going for a few days, make sure you know where and what you’re doing. It definitely makes it better. Also the V.I.P Grand Tour is amazing if you have a limited time but want to see all of L.A.

one night stand

Hotel was very clean including our room, Staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was a little noisy from the jets taking off, I don’t think you can be any closer to the airport but we were on the airport side. Bed was comfortable and we both slept great. Parking is expensive especially Valet... dropped our rental car off early and caught ride down to hotel to avoid charges. Shuttle to airport worked out fine. We’ll definitely stay again next time we visit Los Angeles.

Avoid the valet parking $$$ garage parking is less than half and only about a block away.

Good Hotel near LAX international airport

We usually stay for one night to have a short break on our way to or from Tahiti. The hotel is getting older as we are, but remains a good stay.

service was OK, not impressed with what you get

The hotel room was very good. But I package free internet with my room. So you have to buy the internet service and then the hotel will take it off your bill. There is another hotel down the street for the same price with internet service and free Breakfest, where as I had to pay $15.00 at the hotel I stay in.

The hotel was really great. I especially loved the decor. To my surprise, I was not disturbed by the planes.

Great service, clean rooms

I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, the promptness of the valet service for the car, and how well kept the hotel seemed to be. It has a nice pool area, but the pool could have been cleaner and it was a little small. I got a great night’s sleep in my room. That’s important, considering I usually wind up with a sore neck and/or shoulder from sleeping in hotel beds. I woke up without any tightness or pain. Room service is always expensive, but when it’s midnight and you’ve just arrived to the hotel and haven’t eaten in hours, price goes out the window in favor of a good meal and fast service. Extra points for getting my food to me more quickly than promised. I would definitely stay here again, especially if I have another early flight. This place’s proximity to LAX is a definite plus.

nice hotel

I stayed in 5 hotels in this trip, and Sheraton is the best of the 5. Clean, tidy, and people are nice. What else can you ask for?

Very Good w/ Minor Flaws

The experience at the Sheraton was good overall. The only thing that really was a not so good first impression on us, was the elevator problems. When we first arrived the elevators were broken so we got a view of the whole back end of the hotel Stairwell, Housekeeping and Engineers, before we could see the beauty and comfort of the hotel. Other than that the stay was good. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and Jacuzzi was good although a bit small. It looks bigger online jeje! Oh! and when you reserve just keep in mind that parking is not free

You can definately save more than a few bucks in LA everything is soo in-expensive.. if you know where to go!! Ask the locals like the hotel front desk staff... :)

A comfortable and convenient place to stay when overnighting at LAX.

The hotel is well designed and well maintained. The shuttle service to the airport is reliable. Having Shula’s restaurant in the hotel is a big plus, for those who want a very hearty (and pricey) dinner after travel.

Rooms are clean but noisy

Our room was decent sized and relatively clean. However, the walls were very thin and the front door had a tendency to slam shut very loudly. Unfortunately, none of our neighbors had the courtesy to guide the door with their hand, so it slammed every time they came and went -- day or night. On the upside, this hotel’s location is convenient if you want to do all the touristy things around town. You’ll definitely need a car if you’re staying for more than a day, because there’s not much to eat or do within walking distance. There’s a self-parking lot a block away for about $14 per day, which is about half of what valet parking will cost you. Apparently, that’s not unusual for this area.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you have a GPS system, bring it with you on your trip. Compared to where I live, the LA streets and highways aren’t very easy to navigate. A lot of times, we didn’t see the street signs until it was already too late. Take Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) to visit all the different beach communities in the area. We drove from Long Beach all the way to Malibu. Also, purchase an Entertainment Book for $10 to get half-off discounts on a lot of eateries and attractions around town.

Hotel needs renovation

I wasn’t very satisfied with the cleanliness in the room...carpets badly stained and in need of a cleaning. Interior of bathroom also needed some repair. I will not return.

great stay

We found the Gateway Sheraton updated and clean. The staff was pleasant. We used the pool and the workout facility and found it very nice. Loved it having a Starbucks inside the hotel. Parking was expensive for our rent car but I checked and every hotel has pretty much the same set up. Nice rooms.
