Ghetto.
The room was clean but run down, and to even get into the lobby I had to show ID through bullet-proof glass (after driving through barbed wired gates and run down liquor stores). The woman at the front desk called me in the morning while I was still sleeping to see if I was going to check out that day or not, two hours before check-out time, waking me up pretty rudely. The place is located near the on-ramp for I-55, but not worth the money, headache, or worry.

A Short Drive to Graceland.
The motel was easy to find, but the area questionable. Staff was friend, but the area where this motel is a bit questionable. Next door there is a liquor store and what seemed like a bar (we weren’t sure). Anyway, we stopped in at the liquor store to make a purchase, as you walk in - the whole area is protected by bulletproof glass. Your purchase is dropped to you through a little door. And the bar, the parking lot was still full at eight in the morning. The motel did have free internet, but i never got online. Staff offered to look at my computer, but I don’t like anyone touching my laptop. So I just went without. By evening, all the rooms were full - so it is a popularmotel.
Traveler's tip on dining
We went to Marlow’s for bbq - very good. Seems like a fun place. Many trophies for their food. You can even watch huge cuts of beef being prepared. The next night, we went to Applebee’s - this chain is consistent and you always get good food.
