Stay in Waterford
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Room rather small, but okay for a short stay. Staff were helpful and courteous. Hotel was hard to find, because it is back from the road behind a car lot. and the sign is hard to see.

Ramada Viking, a good choice
A good hotel for the price, nice ameneities and good internet service (complimentary) Parking space available and convenient if you want to use waterford as the pivot for excursions to other towns. it is not in downtown. Good restaurant and nice bar. Prices are great and rooms are good too.

A nice hotel but not as close to downtown as it might seem
This hotel was very clean with good size rooms and had a friendly, helpful staff. However, if you are planning to explore the city and the nightlife, rent a car or be prepared to rack up taxi fees. The hotel is near some car dealerships and not much else, and the walk into town takes a good chunk of time.
