Great Location but beware of the downtown location
The Ramada has excellent customer service and the rooms were spacious but the problem with the single bed room was that there was too much space, meaning not enough furniture. If you want "roomy," then the single-bed suite is the way to go. But the corner of 7th Avenue SW & 8 Street SW, from what I heard and definitely did not want to experience personally, was the place to wander too far since it is where all of the drug dealers and the vagrants hang around. So, beware of that place of the hotel’s "backyard." All in all I would definitely come back again but only if Calgary’s soaring gang crime rate would come down.

A decent quality hotel in a very good location, but a bit wear and tear
Good location on 8th Avenue of downtown Calgary. All ran smoothly, from parking in the basement to check-in and getting into the rooms. Satisfactory service overall. Service staff with good knowledge of good restaurants close by. All in all a good hotel, but it is getting a bit old.

Chicago Chophouse Calgary, close to the hotell. Amazing steaks and a HUGE winelist.

Nice Comfortable stay
Near Downtown and close to lot of places and near Caltrain.
