clean, cheap, convenient
It’s not the Marriott, but for the price, who cares? Free WiFi, breakfast included (eggs, toast, juice, coffee), well-located and 75-cent sodas form the minibar? C’mon, it’s a great deal. The staff is nice, too.

Compare the prices at the many Inca markets you’ll see. Prices can differ materially. Go with a native or at least a fluent Spanish-speaker if you can.

Mixed Bag
I stayed there twice in the last week. The first time was for three nights and everything was great. The cost is fantastic for the location and the staff was very friendly. Oni my return for one night I was given a room with paperthin walls that was truly bad. It all depends on what room you get.

Larcomar is less than 5 minutes away. The location could not be better.

Bayview Hotel: second visit
I highly recommend the Bayview hotel. The service is good, the rooms are clean, and the staff fosters a pleasant atmosphere. At one block from Larcomar mall, one cannot go wrong.

The hotel is located in a safe area that is a taxi ride away from the Huaca Pucllana site, Lima’s plaza mayor, and a plethora of museums.
