Great for kids
The hotel was charming and the service was great. We only had trouble finding it. The location was perfect for Lucca. For the money it was exceptional. The staff was kid friendly and the room had a bunk bed.

Decent place to stay at a good price
Title says it all. Its a small place, friendly staff. We rented their bikes and rode around the city wall, which was fun. Best beds we stayed on in Italy. Traffic noise outside was brutal, though.

It could be a nice hotel, however...
The owner seems to be no interested about welcome his guests. First of all when I arrived to the hotel, after a long trip from Argentina, the hotel was closed. It was the first time, after years traveling, to arrive a hotel completely closed. I had to back to the tourist office to try to contact them. Then I realized I was the only guest this night. Therefore, there was nobody during the night at the reception. It was a little creepy to sleep alone in an empty three stories house. The hotel, an old Tuscan house, is nice. They should only review their guest welcome procedures and the heat of the rooms( mine did not work the 2 nights I was there)
