nice place for the money spent. would visit again if had a need for it.
Not a lot to do with small children. If you like shopping, there were a few stores to go to, but not that much. If you like parks for the kids...there was a few of those. Basically just a small town, but it did have a movie theater close to the college.

Good motel for your money
Easy to find, extremely helpful staff. No noise from the highway. Only drawback is that the walls seemed a bit thin, so we heard noise from the rooms around us.
Traveler's tip on dining
Lots of fast-food and other restaurants on the same road. Also very close to Truman State, about a 5 minute drive.

Not recommended
We stayed only one night. The hotel is old and musty smelling. The street lights were not blocked out well by the curtains. You could hear the highway traffic going by. It was clean and the continental breakfast was okay but I would pick a different hotel next time.

OK for a one night stay
The motel was clean, and the room was large, and the bed comfortable. However, be prepared to lug stuff up to the second or third floor, because there is not elevator. The breakfast is mediocre, certainly nothing to write home about. It is an inexpensive place for a one-night stay.
