Americas Best Value Inn

I was very happy with this hotel and would go back on my next trip.

People were vey kind and accomodating within the staff, Front dest slerk, housekeeping. etc. i was very pleased wiht the hotel i would stay there again on my next vacation. And will also suggest this hotel to others.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you are trying to save a few dollars i would suggest America’s Best Value Inn.

Paper thin walls, plastic-covered mattress

We spent three days here, because Monterey was booked up. The refrigerator did not work, the hot water was barely hot, and there was one thin blanket on the bed (with no other blankets in the room). The mattress was covered by a non-fitted sheet that stuck to the plastic covering of the mattress. Of course, the plastic cover was noisy as you rolled over in bed. Seeing as how we weren’t hanging out in the room, it all was okay until the last night. There were two couples in the room next door who were definitely swinging. How do I know this? Because I could hear every word, every moan, every clink of a drink glass, every laugh. They partied on until 5 a.m. and then left. I never slept. The continental breakfast that was advertised was only offered between 8-10 a.m. and consisted of stale cereal and a banana and/or apple. My suggestion: go somewhere else, and pay a bit more.

the room was ok in a pinch, but it’s not my first choice. The room had ants.
