Adequate hotel
We stayed in Metropolis as a midpoint between mid TN and mid Illinois. If you are passing through, this hotel is way off the interstate. It is near the Superman statue and Harrah’s casino. We had trouble finding it becasue it was not in our GPS and I didn’t think it would be that hard to find. Hotel and room condition were good and access to the room was good. Pool was too cold to consider and hot tub was too murky to chance. Breakfast was below average, even for the basic "pull the muffins out of a box" fare that is so common these days.
Not much for families around this hotel. If you’re passing through, find one closer to the interstate.

smelled of tobacco smoke
Everywhere within the hotel smelled of tobacco smoke, as a result our clothing smelled of smoke.Otherwise the service and accomodations were good.
