Stay 2 nights, and the hooker is half price
When entering a motel room, it is not a good sign when the door jamb is cracked, nailed back, and cracked again. Whether done by the police or an enraged dealer/pimp, it means you’ve chosen your motel poorly. This was the worst place I’ve stayed in a decade. Highlights include cracking plaster and paint, carpeting with a slightly tacky feel (I wore socks constantly), a dirty bathroom (also kicked in once or twice), and blankets with numerous cigarette burns through it (in a non-smoking room). At least the towels and sheets looked clean. Every time I left the room, I packed everything up and put in the car. And on my last night I moved all my furniture in front of the door. This Knights Inn could only be improved by a "suspicious" fire. If you have to choose between this place and sleeping in your car, choose the car.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
Most of the hotels/motels nearby are on Miller Lane, and all of them looked much better than Knights Inn. Stay in one of them.

Ghetto Knights Inn
Reserved Non-Smoking room; recieved room with stale cigarette stench, multiple cigarette burn holes through both bed’s comforters, sheets, and mattresses. Lightbulbs burned out, humming, randomly shutting off. Door has regular key lock, can see light around all sides of door when fully closed. Faucets broken, falling apart. Toilet not cleaned, shower not cleaned. Nothing was new, nothing cleaned thoroughly. Spend the extra $20 to go to another hotel. Seriously. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got robbed at this place.

Good place for the budget-minded
This was a good place to stay for the price. It is in a quiet location with easy access to a Walmart and several restaurants. The room appeared to be recently renovated with new carpet/paint. Parking lot was a bit beat-up. Free breakfast was a muffin and coffee, but Cracker Barrel and McDonalds are close by. During my stay, the sheets were clean and the showers hot. Overall, a good stay at a good price in the Dayton area, close to downtown.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Air Force Museum is a 20 minute drive away at Wright-Patterson AFB. It has an extensive collection of military aircraft and missiles. Admission is free. An IMAX theater and cafeteria is on site for a movie and lunch. Plan on being at the museum a full day to see adequately all exhibits.

was looking for something inexpensive on this trip and it was everything that I expected. I was not dissatisfied but would not necessarily recommend to someone who is looking for anything above an overnight stay.
