Attending a nearby college graduation meant that I had to take the last of what was available for hotel space in a 50 mile radius. The desk clerk was polite and professional, but I wondered why he was giving me that sympathetic look. The door to the room was misaligned and stuck badly. The door knob was sticky to the touch, and it was so loose I thought it might come off in my hand. The floors were dirty, especially in the corners. The toilet was inadequately cleaned and smelled of stale urine, and when I turned back the sheets of the bed, I had to kill the spider I found there before I could get in it. The "theft proof" hangers on the hanging bar (no closet) had all been stolen and not replaced, and the room reeked of many smoking guests. In all fairness, I knew I was getting a smoking room, but apparently no attempt is ever made to deodorize between guests. The room looked like it was last painted by children, as edges of the mirror and fixtures all had the wall paint on them. The edges of the bathtub and sink had cigarette burns. The mattress was comfortable, so sleeping in the room instead of my rent car won out (just barely). I was so glad to escape this dreadful experience that I didn’t take time to shave the next morning. It was a relief to get home after my flight and take a bath.

Good experience

The hotel was great for rest and getting ready in the morning. This was exactly what my family needed. Not a lot of extras but good for the price.
