Dirt, bedbugs, lights that don’t work, windows that don’t close

My siblings and I checked into the EconoLodge in Copley, Ohio, in 3 different rooms. My room had only one small light that worked in the bedroom, and the bathroom light did not come on at all. There was hair in the bathtub, and things that moved, on the floor! My sister’s room had a first-floor window that would not close (security problem), hair in the sink and in the bathtub, and then the coup de grace: bedbugs! We checked out 30 minutes after we checked in. The hotel refunded our payment and were courteous about our change of plans.

Terrible, would never go back

It was clear that cost cutting was the only priority. I beleive the two gentlemen , working the desk, must work 24-7. They were always there. I tried to ask them about places to go or eat in the immediate area, but they never knew where anything was. They didn’t have traditional maid service. Someone came and picked up our towels, and a couple of hours later, brought them back, slightly damp. The air conditioner didn’t work properly. It never got cool in our room, which made for uncomfortable sleeping. Lastly, the physical condition of the building was awfull. A lot work was needed to the outside of the hotel and the grounds.
