Would recommend to travelers and would go back but would not stay in a standard room again
The condition of the hotel is very nice. Hotel is very small and quaint. If you want a beach or pool chair, you have to be up early. The age group of the hotel is on the older side. We are 31 and 32 & were definitely in the minority. Main age group is above 50. Food is very good. Several options daily. Guests reserve lunch/dinner times. Never had problem reserving times. Im a picky eater and I dont eat seafood or beef/pork so I had chicken 3/7 nights we were there. The drinks are small so youre constantly ordering. Each night theres a band which are good but it gets old fast. The bar is quite boring as well. People seem to leave or go to bed early. The beach is nice and right off the hotel. There are vendors that try to sell you things like jewelry & day trips, but they are usually respectful & go away if you say "no thank you." Stayed in a standard room. Tried to upgrade but no rooms avail. The room was musty & very outdated. Room spacious with a cute entryway & was secluded from the pool/noise. The superior/ocean view rooms have been updated A& we wish we could have been in one of those rooms. We didnt notice the smell of the "swampy" area unless we went to that part of the beach. It was hit or miss with the staff members. Some were really nice & some were very rude. Overall very good for an all-inclusive. We would recommend. Great location, great food, nice beach and overall very nice environment. We visited from 10/26-11/2/2009 for our honeymoon.
Make sure to take the Catamaran trip that is complimentary from the hotel. You get to have a nice boat ride and then swim and snorkel with the large sea turtles. You dont have to snorkel/swim if you dont want to. Also, take the glass bottom boat ride. You are able to swim and snorkel with the fish. Both of these trips are free. I would also recommend going to Bridgetown to get a feel of city life in Barbados. The hotel offers free transportation to and from Bridgetown.

Lovely holiday
We stayed in this hotel with our 3 years old daughter for a week. We had a very pleasant stay. Our room was immediately next to the swimming pool and our daughter loved it. What we liked the most was the fact that this hotel was small and not crowded. The service and food was really nice. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful.

Simply Paradise
WOW! My wife and I could not have asked for a better honeymoon. We recently visited St. Lucia in December 2008 and found Barbados to be more accomodating to seasoned travelers. The Carribean Sea is much clearer here and the surrounding areas were very safe and welcomed tourists. The resort was simply a beautiful oasis tucked on the western side of the Island. The nearby city of Holetown is quaint and satisfies all needs. I highly recommend upgrading to the Oceanside View which is steps from the Beach -- my wife and I enjoyed eating breakfast on our patio overlooking the most beautiful view of the Carribean Sea. The service was excellenct along with a wonderful menu. We enjoyed the smaller sized venue which made our experience very intimate. The only drawback was a lack of beach space in front of the resort however the staff accomidated to all our beach needs. WE WILL RETURN IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!!
Must have dinner at The Cliffs -- the food is every bit as good as the view...
