Great Budget Hotel
We were very impressed with the staff, service, location and amenities of this hotel. It is small and little dated, but it is on a beautiful, long beach with great swimming access. The food on the all-inclusive plan was better than we expected. We had a few tremendous meals and only one part of one meal was disappointing (dont order the French Onion soup or caesar salad). The rest of the meals were very good to excellent. The fresh catch of the day was always great as were the soups(except for the one noted above). Ths hotel is relatively small and a little isolated, but the bus fare to St. Johns is only around $3 return and stops right outside the hotel gate. The sunsets were spectacular. We had very good live entertainment 5 out of the 7 nights we were there. Lots of dancing and fun was enjoyed by all. We will definitely go back.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Take the bus whenever you can. Taxis are quite expensive. If you are brave enough to rent a car it is probably youre best bet but dont drive on Saturdays as the roads are very busy with local traffic that day. Take the bus a few times before renting to get used to the driving conditions. The all-inclusive is defiitely the way to go as meals and alcolhol tend to be expensive otherwise.

Try other hotels
The location was great. The food was good but would recomend the all inclusive. The staff was friendly but slow. Fresh towels were hard to come by. We had no water on the last day of our stay.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
The safari we went on called Island safari was excellent

avoid except for a few exceptions!
unfriendly staff, expensive drinks, and inconsistent service make this a hotel to avoid. What amplifies this hotels shortcomings is its isolated location on the remote southwest side of antigua... stay near dickinsons bay for much better options!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
if you make the mistake of staying here talk to the locals for tips on saving money on excursions and taxis... the staff at most of the hotels will support the rates of their own taxi drivers!!!
