Central American Eden
My husband and I arrived at the hotel after spending almost seven hours in our car and we were just blown away. The staff was exceptionally courteous and our room was magnificent. We had booked our room through expedia, which seemed to cause a problem because they couldn’t find our reservation right away, but they called someone in who was more famiiar with the system and it was fixed in about ten minutes. The hotel has all the amenities one could want and is located on the edge of Antigua, so you can park there and forget about your car while you relax. The grounds were well-tended and the museum was fun to explore. The restaurant had delicious food; we really enjoyed our dinner more than we could have hoped. We are already planning to take our parents there in the coming months!!!
Traveler's tip on shopping
Don’t change too many dollars into Quetzales if you can avoid it. Very few places wouldn’t take dollars, and we had changed so many dollars that we have enough for our next trip...
