good old fashioned motel

very convenient; quiet even though on Nevada Ave. good wireless internet. very reasonable

Would NOT stay here again!!

Lobby contained two dogs behind desk that barked ferociously and the entire lobby smelled of dogs and animal litter boxes. Could not eat breakfast there which was in the same area. Rooms were adequate - no cups or wash clothes provided the first night. Would not stay here again.

Ok for a night or two

The hotel was reasonably clean and comfortable, but I wouldn’t stay there for more than a night or two.

Very nice place to stay

Nice upkeep rooms. Very close to restaurants, attractions, and downtown.

Decent quality at convenient price

The hotel is located in suburban area, but not far from city center and connected via public transportation. The hotel look pretty old, but the room was renovated and overall pretty clean, although furniture and blankets are not first hand. The swim pool was out of order (although advertised to work), and wireless internet connection was not covering the whole hotel area, so forced to go on to the internal Biz center. Continental Breakfast was ok, compared to similar hotels.

Not Impressed

The hotel has become run down and lacks many of the amenities that even lower budget hotels currently offer. I will not be staying here again.

Need a carpet cleaner

Carpet in our room was very dirty and room had a "odor cover-up" smell. Maybe it was a smoking room before (maybe the night before we checked in) and deoderizers were used in an attempt to cover it up.

you get what you pay for

This hotel is a place to sleep. While I didn’t have a bad experience persey I don’t think I would stay there again. I went with my 13 year old son for a basketball tournament and its location was convenient. It definitely is not in a nice neighborhood! I was safe enough since other people I knew were staying there as well but for about 20 bucks more I could have stayed somewhere much nicer and safer (which would have included a free breakfast). I probably will not stay there again but for one no frills night it was sufficient.

Nothing fancy....

I booked this room because I was only staying one night and it was cheap. So I was not surprised to see that it was in a not too nice part of town. However, the girl who checked me in was very nice, and the room, while shabby, was clean. The room was also large and had a small fridge and a microwave, which was handy and unexpected. Overall, under the same circumstances, I would stay there again.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

This place is a short cab ride to "downtown" Colorado Springs.

Not impressed

The air conditioner was in the back of the room and took all night to cool the room down. We even opened the front window to help bring the air into the sleeping area of the room.

SHOULD HAVE SPENT MY MONEY ELSEWHERE

This hotel was dirty, the bed linen had cigarette burn holes in it. The drapes where falling apart. There were dead bugs in the closet. The bathroom was not clean. I would have spent an extra amount to stay at a more classy place had I know what this motel was like.

Good hotel for traveler on a budget

I was pleasantly surprised to find both a refrigerator and a microwave in my room. The room felt clean and comfortable for this type of hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

This hotel is close to all the great nature places in Colorado Springs. I saved a lot on gas, and most of the parks were free or inexpensive. With a microwave and fridge in my room, I also ate out less and had (great) restaurant leftovers.

Will stay again when in Colorado Springs

Travelodge was convenient to airport and all CO Springs attractions.

Great for the price and position

This is my second time staying at the Travelodge South in Colorado Springs. The rooms are large, very clean, all the facilities that you would want (including free wi fi), partially enclosed parking and friendly staff. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wanted really good quality for an amazingly low price.

Traveler's tip on dining

Just up the road is a great small Mexican restaurant - they have excellent food at very good prices. Actually from the hotel it is only a few minutes walk to 1/2 dozen very good eateries.

You Get What You Pay For

Staff was very nice but this is a LOW budget hotel in a not-so-great part of town. Never had a hot shower and the pillows were like pancakes.

Nice place to stay

The staff were friendly and helpful. The restraurant was a family nice place to eat. Parking could have been better but always found a spot close to stairs for upper floor.

Lodge was located in convient area for all of the activities that we did while there.
