Comfortable and quiet.
Room size was adequate with full cable service and quiet from roadway noise. Bed was comfortable. Hot tub was a nice touch, but missed not having a swimming pool (small point). No continental breakfast offered.

Olts of great shopping and sightseeing (mountains). Horse racing and casinos.

Good bargain
The air conditioner blasted and the beds were comfortable. Clean motel with an enclosed entry way to rooms, good in inclement weather. There was also a hot tub (didn’t use, hot and humid during our stay) that is open from 2pm to 10pm. We were right on the street and was surprised at how quiet the room was.

For the price, a great place to stay
The staff was very friendly and check-in/out was pleasant and quick. Our room was spacious and clean.

Just the basics
Maybe if you visit this hotel in winter, you will like it more than I did. That’s because it has a fireplace in the room and they supply artificial logs. But apart from that, it’s pretty basic--tiny bathroom with mismatched towels, clunky old-fashioned headboard (makes it hard to read in bed), no iron. The room does have a small frig and microwave. Checking in was easy and I have to admit that we did not hear our neighbors. So I guess it wasn’t so bad--if it had been twenty dollars cheaper.

Very nice
This is an older motel in the heart of Ruidoso. It has been extensively remodeled and updated. The room was large, well decorated, exceptionaly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The in room fireplace added a nice cozy touch. The owners seem to take much justified pride in their little hotel. In fact for the rate charged, this hotel definitely exceded expectations. We will be back!

Loved it!
The Sitzmark Chalet is a wonderful place to stay for a great price. The rooms were very clean & the sevice was wonderful. The walls are a little thin & we could hear the people next to us from time to time but it wasn’t too bad. If you’re looking for a cozy, clean, comfortable place to stay while you visit Ruidoso, I recommend the Sitzmark.

Really lovely!
This hotel was charming, had a "homey" feel to it and was just perfect for my husband and 12 month old. We had a delightful time. Close to down-town and within driving distance to everything. When we go back, we plan to stay here again.

Great place, great location
This place was great, like spending the week-end with friends. Very close to local attractions, we were able to walk to business area. The fireplaces in the rooms were nice. Very homey, cottage feel. Would book here again if we come back to area.

It was fine
Privately owned. Not fancy: no hairdryer, not a lot of amenities--but there really aren’t high-end hotel chains in Ruidoso. Very good location. Friendly service.

What a wonderful surprise.
Didn’t know what to expect. Quaint, clean, no frills but completely enjoyable. Staff very friendly.

Most comfortable stay ever!
My husband & I totaly enjoyed our stay at the Sitzmark Chalet. Our room was spacious, comfortable & clean.It was far enough & close enough from where we needed to be.The owner was very sweet & was kind enough to let us stay alittle longer than the checkout time.The hot tub was working & clean.We were very satified & will plan on staying there again.We would recommend this hotel!

The location is on the main street, but not in the busiest section.Therefore there is access to many restuarants,the Casinos,Racetrack & the few clubs around. Not to mention the ski slopes.Despite the fact that the area is very dry right now, it’s still beautiful.

On the run
The hotel was in a great location. I had plenty of resturants to choose from and easy access to the shoping district. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The Sitzmark Chalet is like none that Ive ever stayed at. Hands down, when I visit Ruidodo again they will have my business. The personal attention to details in the room was cool.We loved the colored towels! Its nice to be at a family owned/operated hotel, rather than your bigger "big name" places.
