As the hub of tourist attractions, there is Tuzigoot ruins, Montezuma’s Castle, Montezuma’s Well, Ft Verde,and the art communities of Jerome and Sedona. For a leizurely picnic, there is the Verde River.

Good Location, prompt service

My mom, my dauther and I stayed in this hotel for a weekend getaway. We opted to stay in Cottonwood instead of Sedone because the room rate was about 1/2 the cost and it only took 20 minutes to get into Sedona. The room was clean, except that after a few minutes running around on the floor, my daughters feet were black. I was very grossed out by just how dirty the floor was and made her wear shoes the remainder of our stay. We had two queen beds and each bed had a generous 4 pillows each and the sheets were soft and comfortable. There was a nice chest in the room that was perfect for storing my daughters toys and the room itself was large enough for the 3 of us. Our lightbulb when out in our bathroom and someone came to replace the bulb in less than 10 minutes. The pool was heated to a nice temperature and the area was clean. The Mexican Food restaurant in the parking lot is reasonably priced and the food is, okay. Everything was either fried or greasy. All in all the hotel was nice, though I would strongly suggest bringing some flip flops or slippers so as not to walk around on the dirty floor.

If you are coming to Cottonwood, you definately want to go to Red Rock Crossing. A short hike will take you to a beatiful water area where there is plenty of room and gentle water areas for families to play. It’s about half way between Cottonwood and Sedona.

Hotel was close to area attractions and restaurants without paying the higher prices in Sedona. Room was clean and staff was friendly.

Overall, the condition of the hotel was fine. All the doors on our side looked like they were sandblasted for some reason. The room was fine and the staff (excepting front desk) were very friendly and accommodating. The front desk help were curteous, but not overly helpful. We asked for a late check-out and were given until 1pm. We got bad advice on a nearby hike (took longer than expected) and arrived after 1pm. I wasn’t even listened to and had to pay an extra half-day. Apart from that, for the price - OK.

Good Standard Motel

The Sedona area has some very beautiful expensive resorts. This is not one of them, but if you are just looking for a place to sleep at night and a convenient location - this is the spot. It was also nice they include a continental breakfast (waffles, english muffins, etc.), since it saved us going out for another meal.

Not many options in Cottonwood

The room was small, acceptably clean, and quiet. Spent three nights, certainly nothing outstanding, but very adequate. Breakfast with waffles and oatmeal was very good. Computer available for use in lobby.

Best Westerns are always dependable

Had a pleasant stay. My wife has a medical problem. They accommodated my request for a ground floor room. Continental breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly.

Not the Hotel they described

Big issue here is a total lack of internet. when I checked in the clerk fvoplunteered that the internet was down, but would be up by morning. In 2 full days, it never came online. Since I had business to attend to in order to begin a week of vacation on Monday, I had to delay that work until arrival at my next destination in Phoenix. I also missed deadline on a class assignment. OK hotel otherwise, but it really put a serious kink in my vacation and my upcoming grade.

The Verde Canyon Railway was nice. Food offerred pre-train is very good. Out of Africa was great. Giraffe head came right in the window of our vehicle to be fed some celery. Tiger "water" show was fun. If you like Greek Food try the "Rock Restaurant" in Cottonwood.

It was just a typical Best Western. We did forget a item in our room and the management did keep the item. When we called the management was very helpful and sent our item by mail to us.
