Great Place to Stay Near Talladega
Although the Jameson Inn is nothing fancy, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed had a pillow-top mattress that was almost as comfortable as our bed at home. All the expected amenities like cable television, wireless internet, mini-fridge, etc. were in working order. The continental breakfast was more than acceptable. Despite proximity to the interstate, there was no discernible highway noise in the room. What set the Jameson Inn in Oxford apart, though, was the customer service. The staff could not have been friendly or more accommodating, and offered several useful suggestions on how to make our stay more enjoyable. Visitors to the nearby Talladega Speedway have many choices for lodging, but I can’t imagine that any of the others are better than Jameson Inn.
This is a terrific place to stay if you are going to Talladega Speedway. Located near I-20, you also have a wide variety of dining and shopping choices within five minutes, including some that are within walking distance. This is a far better choice than any of the hotels at the other Oxford exit, who suffer because the local roads and access/egress from the hotels is not nearly as easy.

Convenient and reasonable
Nice comfortable hotel. Not fancy, but good value. Several restaurants close.
