Beautiful comfortable, spectacular vistas
A gem away from the maddening crowds of Taormina. The hotel is elegant yet provides a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful spaces and vistas. Cant wait to go back

A wonderful stay.
This hotel was listed as top of the line and expensive in several travel books, both of which were true. We booked a standard room, but on arrival were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a King Bed with Balcony. (This is the second time a hotel booked with Expedia has upgraded our room.) The views from the hotel are breathtaking. The grounds are well kept with a gorgeous pool (heated) and several pretty outdoor terraces and patios. The hotel staff was so helpful (especially when dealing with Alitalia in retrieving our wayward luggage) and went out of their way on many occasions. In fact, I am contacting the Hotel Manager directly to thank him and his staff. The hotel is in a great spot, just below the main center of town, so everything is a short walk (up, as Taormina is built into the side of a mountain). On the downside, the hotel restaurant was very expensive, so we never ate there. Our room came with a buffet breakfast which I enjoyed immensely. (It was the same every morning, which my husband thought was a drag. However, they had many options to include eggs, Italian meats, fruit, yogurt, muffins, cereal, etc.) We were supposed to have wireless access in our room, but a technical glitch was blocking it. There was a hotspot in the lobby, and the hotel had a computer accessible for guests. Everybody on staff at the hotel spoke English, but at different levels of proficiency. A wonderful stay that I highly recommend.
