Nice hotel - Good Location
My family of four had a wonderful week in NYC and this hotel was a nice base for us. The room was very small, but we were really only there to sleep at night. The breakfast was fine - eggs, sausage, cereal, biscuits, ect. Very handy being a block away from Penn Station. Theres also Jacks .99 store across the street if you need something. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff forgot to clean our room a couple times, but it wasnt a big deal. Id stay there again.

Will Definately Go Back.
Superfriendly & helpful staff, comforable room. Totally Pleasant experience, though you should be out on the town, not spending 24/7 in your room.
Traveler's tip on dining
Go have an untukey club & mashed potatoes with gravy at Kates joint in the village.

Not Impressed
The best thing about this hotel was its location. Very convenient, being right around the corner from Penn Station - Madison Square Garden. The front desk staff etiquette left very little to be desired. A few days before our arrival, I called asked for 2 adjoining rooms. They said they would be able to accomodate especially seeing that we were going to be arrive several hours before the "official" check in time. So, the day comes and we arrived around 12noon. We asked to have adjoining rooms and were told......."sure....well have that set up for you". But since the rooms hadnt yet been cleaned, we were asked to go take a walk and come back around 4 (official check-in time). We arrived back at the hotel at 3:45 and ended up having to wait YET another 1 1/2 hours before we finally got keys to our rooms. Oh, before I forget, the bell hop took a tip and promised to get our luggage up to our rooms, but when we returned at 3:45pm, we learned that he went off shift at 2pm. That was indeed, very sleazy bahavior. We ended up having to take our luggage up to our rooms (with no assistance, or offer of assistance) from the hotel staff. After the tremendously annoying wait just to check in, the front desk staff also gave us attitude for a screw up that was obviously their mistake. Not once did anyone apologize. All we got, in return for our patience, was rude behavior and attitude. We will definitely NOT be returning to this establishment (hahaha....if you can even call it that!!!!)
Dont do it! This hotel is crappy (service, food, room sizes etc). The breakfast offerings were pathetically slim.
