Nice place, nice staff
This is a nice hotel with large rooms and full kitchens. It is a family-run hotel with the staff being very pleasant and accommodating. There are only a few hotel choices in Wasilla. I would highly recommend staying here.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in
I live in Fairbanks Alaska but traveled to Wasilla looking to purchase a new home. While there I stayed at the Alaska Select Motel for three nights. I had picked this hotel initially because it was very well priced and close to my realtor’s office. I was nervous about staying here because of the old you get what you pay for saying, but after reading reviews I went ahead and made my reservation. I could not have been happier with the hotel. I had a queen size bed and a queen pull out couch with a full kitchen. My wife and 7 month old daughter had plenty of room. The room was spotless, and the cleaning service returned the room to impeccable condition every day. The staff was very friendly. We even had cable TV and free wireless Internet. And, very important to me, the hotel was in a good neighborhood. No drunks wandering the parking lot, or fights breaking out in the middle of the night. I have stayed in hotels that cost 3 times as much that were not as nice. This is the best hotel I have stayed in and I will always stay there when traveling through Wasilla. And I always reccommend it to my friends.

Great place at a great value
I stayed here for about 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years. The room was very clean. The room has a full kitchen which was perfect for a longer stay. This is a smaller family run hotel and the service was very friendly and great. The value of this hotel is amazing and will stay there again.

Nice Affordable Hotel
Looks like an apartment building converted to hotel. Nice that it had a kitchen and was in a quite part of town. Not impressed with carpet (soiled and stained). We used the kitchen and were happy to save money from eating out... however make sure the dishes are clean.

Great place to spend the week
I was a little nervous about booking this reservation. We were totaly pleased with our stay. The bed was comefy, the kitchenette convienient, plenty of closet space and an adequate bathroom. The staff was accomodating and the on floor laundry was very handy. I would book a stay there again.

would definitely stay there again
let me start by saying that I did not arrive at the motel until 3am, but upon a previous call to the motel they assured me they would check me in and my room would be ready for me. True to there word this was all done . I found the room clean & tidy the staff were very friendly and gave us great tips on both places to go and dining . We were a short 10-15 min drive from town and enjoyed afternoon and evening walks to Cottenwood creek where the scenery & wildlife were fantastic
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
stop in the Fred myer or Walmart for a few groceries as the rooms have a fridge stove,coffee pot & microwave

For the business traveler or long term stay
The hotel only has 16 units all of which have full kitchens which is perfect for the long term stay. All of the rooms are inside enterance and are furnished with TV’s, cable and DVD players. There are washers and dryers available along with vending machines. The hotel is located just outside of Wasilla but is close enough to make the quick run to the grocery store or retailers.

Not impressed
We reserved 2 rooms. One was clean but the furniture was obviously used and somewhat abused. The other had mud tracked in. For the price, which we considered fairly substantial, this was no bargain. It did contain a kitchenette but no drinking glasses in the bathroom and had instructions that made it clear that you would be charged for not washing up. The first time I have ever had to wash my glass after brushing my teeth.
