Very nice hotel.
This hotel had a little lake outside and it was quite picturesque from the lobby and the pool looking out over the lake. If you got a room on the correct side of the hotel you could wake up to the lake view but unfortunately the opposite side had views of the parking lot and busy road. Customer service was very good and the hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Ammenities were good but seemed to close a little too early for travelers coming in late at night. Hotel was close to many restaurants and shopping malls but luckily not in the middle of the downtown congestion, although it was an easy 20 minute drive to the convention center. Had a great stay and would surely recommend it to others.
Indianapolis is much larger than I imagined and they seem to be going through alot of changes. Apparantly the airport was just moved to a brand new terminal and my GPS kept directing me to the old terminal when I went to pick up people for the convention. Although I saw much new construction going on downtown there were many vacant buildings and companies now out of business in the outer areas of the city. My GPS again kept directing me to restaurants and coffee shops that were no longer open.

Nice place to stay in a nice area
Our stay was brief, but nice. We were visiting our son in Indy and spent most of our time away from hotel. When we arrived at hotel late at night and very tired there was a wonderfully comfortable bed to dive into. I was asleep in 2 seconds flat! The breakfast buffet at hotel was hot and varied, and included eggs or omelets made to order. The lake behind the hotel is great for a walk or run. It’s exactly a mile around it. Staff was nice and helpful. Would stay here again.

Next trip to Indy we will be staying at the Marriott north again!
Hotel was very nice, clean rooms, and staff was very friendly as well as helpful. Close to resturants and upscale mall. Will definately stay here again next year when we return to Indy.
