Perfect Vacation
Room was excellent! Clean, comfortable, roomy. The food in the Hotel (buffet, both restaurants) was great. No reason to leave the hotel.

Fine if you are there for the gambling
I would not recommend this as a family hotel. They do not even have a swimming pool! And it’s blazing hot in Oroville in the summer. If you are there for the casino and gambling, it’s probably what you’d expect of an Indian casino... you know - the clientele that come to smoke and play slots.... otherwise, when passing through Oroville, I’d stick with the motor hotels

cancelled my reservation
The room at Gold Country was spacious and clean. However, the hotel cancelled the reservation I had book through Expedia. Before my trip I called to confirm the reservation and was told I didn’t have one. I gave them my confirmation number and was told that the reservation had been cancelled. When I asked to make a new reservation I was quoted a price that was double what I had paid with expedia. I had not cancelled the reservation, so I called Expedia, and they arranged for the reservation to be reinstated. I guess if I hadn’t called ahead to confirm I would have been out of luck when I arrived. Not cool.
