Good Place to Stay

My stay at the Novotel was great. The hotel nice and clean, and the hotel staff very accommodating. The location is great - a couple of blocks from the station and easy walking distance to lots downtown.

Best Buy

We last stayed at this hotel 5 yrs ago and it’s in better condition now. Rooms have been updated and beds are very comfortable. Our room was 4th floor front of the hotel and with the drapes closed you can’t even hear the traffic. Located 2 blocks from Union Station allows you to park the car and not need to drive and search for parking. Staff was very helpful and our morning waiter was working there 5 yrs. ago. Very good hotel.

Great location!

The Novotel was close in proximity to plenty of restaurants and bars. It was also a quick walk to many of the tourist attractions. Nice, clean, quiet hotel.

Nice hotel in a good neighborhood

The hotel’s location was great since I was there at the end of September, although it may be a bit of a walk to the Convention Center in the winter. The nearby neighborhood has nice restaurants and a great coffee place. The hotel es comfortable and friendly, although I couldn’t open my window. The breakfast buffet was good although expensive.

Very comfortable room

This hotel was very conveniently located in the city with good food and entertainment nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was roomy and the bed was VERY comfortable. We wood definitely stay here again.

I have nothing bad to say about the Novotel Toronto. Great hotel, Great location, I recomment this hotel to everybody. This was a dream vacation.

The location was great, close to everything. Check in was fast and simple with no issues. Hotel was very clean, I liked how this hotel had an indoor pool and gym that was open till 11:00.

If you love italian food, the Spaghetti Factory was right across the street from the hotel, service was great and the prices were resonable.

The hotel was located near downtown and fine for walking to nearby attractions. However the windows did not open, the room smelled of smoke (had requested nonsmoking) and the manner in which the mini bar and related services were presented was below a 3 and a half star service. I would have had to ask for a different refigerator to actually use one since the minibar was packed full and sensor activated if you removed any drinks. The hallways were stained carpet and needed an upgrade. The fact that continentel breakfast was not included again did not befit the rating of the hotel.

Very good hotel for the cost

Locate so it is easy to get to most tourist sites on foot. Metro is close. Would definitely go back.

What We Expected

The location of the hotel was excellent for our needs - good selection of restaurants directly across the street, very close to the Hockey Hall of Fame and an easy walk to the Rogers Centre, CN tower and Eaton Centre. Helpful staff.

Good place to stay for Blue Jays baseball games

One of the least expensive hotels near Rogers Centre, and within walking distance of a number of attractions and great restaurants. Be careful about the Internet service, though. It does not reach all of the rooms.

OK for a 3 star- nothing amazing

Staff: very nice. Room: OK, not too pretty or comfortable. Views: not good- either a parking lot or buildings directly across the street. Stay here if you really don’t care about the room and don’t plan to spend too much time at the hotel.

Don’t plan any shopping on Sundays. Many places are open very limited hours.

Great experience

My 5 people enjoyed staying at this location. It is located near many attractions, especially the lakefront and the St.Lawrence Market. As a leader my only objection was that the staff were not prepared to recommend theaters or events for the one night we were experiencing Toronto. I asked several concierges for recommendation, and none were more helpful than the pamphlet. We will be returning to Toronto next year and would request info on August events and performances.

Happy with hotel

MY family and I were very happy with this hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good. Close to Union Station for connecting with the subway. Close to the harbor and ferries. Plenty of decent dining options close by, as wellas Lawrence St. market. If you don’t mind walking , the Distillery District was a nice walk for my family.

The hotel is almost new and well design, has the basic staff, lacks a consierge but is OK.

Not Impressed at all....

Hotel is nothing like the pictures they have displayed... If u are going to stay at a hotel, stay somewhere more upscale for the same price. This hotel is not even updated... Hotel is not worth the price of stayin...

A nice place in a great location.

Novotel is centrally located for the CN Tower, the Rogers Centre, the Hockey Hall of Fame and so much else. It is a nice quiet oasis in the midst of an exciting city. Parking is expensive and something of a hassle, but other than that it is a good place to go for a visit to Toronto.

Nice hotel, great location

Very pleased with the quality of the hotel, room and service. Did not experience any noise and enjoyed our stay. They were working on the underground parking ramp so there was loud noise during day. There was a sign posted at the front desk and they did not work on the weekend. We weren’t around the hotel during the day so it didn’t bother us. Room was pleasant and clean. Due to three people in our room, we had to request an extra set of towels a couple of days. Other than that, cleaning service was very efficient. Staff was friendly. Great location. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. There is a great Irish Pub across the street with great food.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

No need to have a car when staying at this hotel. You’re two blocks away from Union Station. Take advantage of the public transportation. The street cars are always available once you figure out the routes. If you get on and off the subway and/or street cards more than three times a day, it’s better to purchase an all day pass. It’s especially cost effective on the weekend. Two can ride on one all day pass.

The best part of this hotel is its location within easy walking distance of downtown sites and harbor attractions. Rooms and service are ok, clean and efficient, but nothing special
