OK for the Price, not the best
The rooms were fine and clean for the price, and we loved overlooking the river from the balcony. The biggest disappointment was the "continental breakfast". All they had one day were bagels, cereal, and oranges. They were out of orange juice another day, and the third day, they had some danish and sliced bread. There were no donuts or muffins. For ambience, the next time we go to Gatlinburg, we would probably stay at a higher priced hotel, but we would definitely want to overlook the river again.
I think the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area is the ideal location for a family with young-to-teen children. I don’t believe they could possibly get bored with all there is to do, including family friendly shows, miniature golf, water parks, thrill rides, family restaurants, etc.

Good hotel - would go back
This is a good hotel, located at the northern tip of Gatlinburg. My wife and I walked down the entire Gatlinburg strip to the southern side. It is NOT a 5 star hotel, but more than satisfactory for our needs. I would happily stay there again.

Would stay here again
The only problem with the hotel was the location. It was not too bad getting out if turning to the right, but traffic had to be just right or someone nice enough to let you out to go left. Otherwise, I would go to this hotel again. It was not in the heart of the action, which was nice.
