Nice Hotel, Bad Fire Alarm
Checked-in and went to room to nap. Desk clerk never mentioned that a fire alarm was scheduled for the next hour. No one else seemed to be doing anything for the alarm as we descended stairs and exited. Desk Clerk was all "business as usual" over the alarm. Very modern nice room in a nice neighborhood.

Great location
We selected the Monopole because of its location--close to both the central train station and the old city--and it price, and we were not disappointed. The staff, who spoke English, were very helpful. The room, which had been redone relatively recently, was comfortable and clean, though pretty basic. The free breakfast featured a wide variety of options. One small complaint: the Monopole had the worst pillows I have ever encountered, having the resilience and weight of a dead animal. Otherwise, we do not hesitate to recommend the Monopole.
