Wonderful quaint getaway hotel!
I have stayed in many resorts in the past and am a frequent traveler to Jamaica. I was planning a quick weekend getaway and couldn’t justify paying for an all inclusive. I thought I would give this hotel a try. I was NOT disappointed! The views were gorgeous! The breakfast was delicious, the room was perfect, the service and hospitality were top notch. I am ready to go back! It is peaceful and get to enjoy Jamaica the way it is supposed to be enjoyed...relaxing!
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families. Strictly couples and business travelers.

Too far from anything...
Hotel was "o.k.". I would not recommend this place for couples with kids or a romantic getaway. It is clean and sufficient if you are on a tight budget.(If you are on a tight budget, you may want to rethink Jamaica. Everything is EXPENSIVE.) You will definitely need a rental car!!! It is not close to anything! As a matter of fact, it is not even "in" Montego Bay. It is in Greenwood in the county of Trelawny, about a 25 minute drive from Montego Bay. You will spend a fortune on cabs!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I was disenchanted with Jamaica.It was sad to see how the rich have taken over what was once very beautiful. You can hardly see the coast between all the massive resorts.Rose Hall is a must-see.We spent a great day with some orphaned children from "The Robin’s Nest" at Doctor’s Cave Beach.(By far the best beach there)We drove to Ocho Rios to climb Dunn’s River Falls, it was amazing.I wouldn’t bother with visiting Negril.There is nothing to do or see unless you’re wanting to dive off the cliffs.

Owner and staff are the best ever!
This trip was made to be my very best as a result of the staff of Emerald View Resort Villa. There can not be a more dedicated owner. And I certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Montego Bay!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Contact Emerald Bay Villa for car rental also. Savings are excellent and the car deposit is not nearly what other agencies require.
